I truly enjoy the lobby bar at Terranea Resort. As a longtime Palos Verdes resident, I have been coming here for years, and the experience is consistently exceptional. The setting is stunning, the cocktails are thoughtfully crafted, and the service is impeccable. The staff is always gracious and attentive, from the bartenders to the valet team.
The live music in the evenings enhances the ambiance without overwhelming it, creating an atmosphere that feels both sophisticated and inviting. The newly renovated balcony and patio areas are beautifully done and elevate the entire experience.
My only disappointment is the removal of the small vegan offerings that were previously available. I hope those return in the future.
Whether for a relaxed evening, an elegant happy hour, or an intimate date night, the lobby bar at Terranea remains one of the most refined and enjoyable destinations in the area.

Speaking as a person who usually gives a lot of grace, this place managed to obtain a rare negative review from me. I tried ordering three times and never got a drink in the end.
There was a white man in front of me being served by two bartenders—they gave me eye contact and left promptly after serving him. If it was the end of the shift, it would have been nice to at least be communicated that on their way out.
I went back out on the patio and asked for a drink. During the wait time, a white family was sat after, ordered drinks, and received them in a timely manner. I asked for a second time for the drink. It never arrived. Note that this was all from the same server.
This was just a little too coincidental—I’m left wondering what the staff culture is like and if they’re inclined to serve certain people over others.
The valet person was the highlight of the night for the service—went out of his way to take pictures for my group.
Besides that, I’m left deeply disappointed by the hospitality. Overall, I did not feel welcomed here and will not return.

From start to finish, our visit to Lobby bar was exceptional. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the food and cocktails were absolutely delicious, and every detail felt thoughtfully curated.
What truly made the experience stand out was our incredible waitress, Mariah. She was attentive, kind, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. Her timing was perfect, her recommendations were spot-on, and she made us feel genuinely welcomed throughout the meal.
Between the top-notch service and the fantastic food and cocktails this is easily one of the best dining experiences we’ve had. We’ll definitely be back.

Best New Year Celebration! The room has lost some room, due to bar and toy train setup, which should be put in lobby hall so not to take up room in the lounge area, and to accommodate more people with small tables and chairs.

My friends and I had the best service we’ve ever experienced at the Lobby Bar this past weekend. Our server Marlene was genuine, warm and had us in stitches the whole time. She also knows her cocktails! We’ve been coming for several years but this was the best time. Can’t wait to come back this summer. Thank you, Marlene!
