One of our girls is GF. George was standing outside his restaurant opening the door and welcoming people in. He told us he could make anything we wanted GF.
The food here was authentic! George was our waiter and the atmosphere, service, and food is top tier!
If we come back to Boston this will be our first stop! ❤️

We started with meatball appetizer and was fantastic. Delicious home made meatballs.
I had spicy chicken special and it was great. Jess has veal saltimbucco and it’s the best she’s ever tasted. For realz.
Felt like family with an excellent server and the hostess who was likely the owner and full of personality. Cute place and will surely return next time we’re in Bean-town.
Their meat sauce was fine, not as flavorful as some, and the lasagna could have used more sauce with it. The arrabiata was delicious, would definitely recommend it with the chicken and mushrooms, and the spiciness helped add something. The standard red sauce i found a bit boring to eat and didnt seem as fresh.
For appetizers the artichokes were nice and especially the mussels and white wine sauce were excellent.
Service was efficient, not particularly friendly but got us what we needed.
It’s not a bad meal by any means—just not particularly memorable. With so many amazing Italian restaurants nearby, Lo Conte’s didn’t wow us enough to make the “must return” list.
Might be worth a try if you want a quiet, no-frills experience—but if you’re looking for bold flavors or something special, there are stronger options in the neighborhood.
Seated at a window table, I ordered a bottle of Pinot Grigio to have ready for our guest from Germany. Carla shared a bit of her journey as a restaurateur, and soon introduced us to Georgie, our attentive waiter.
The food was hearty and satisfying — exactly what you’d hope for from an Italian restaurant that’s been serving for decades. Nothing overly fancy, but comforting, flavorful, and true to its roots. The highlight was the experience itself: the relaxed, welcoming atmosphere, thoughtful service, and Carla’s personal touch (she even gifted us two servings of tiramisu!).
Lo Conte’s is the kind of place that feels real and down to earth — no pretense, just good Italian food and genuine hospitality. A wonderful spot for entertaining guests and enjoying the North End without feeling rushed or crowded.
We went in this past Tuesday 1/21/25. Very happy to report it was as good as it always was! We ordered the artichoke heart app it was very good and I don’t know what they do with their olive oil bread dipping sauce but it’s still amazing. My Cioppino was amazing and as usual had too much fresh seafood I couldn’t get through 1/2 of it. My wife got her usual lasagna the portion was huge as usual and the flavor and quality amazing!
Service was also very good we will get this back into our routine!
Christmas Eve dinner. Warmly greeted at the door and welcomed to sit at the window table. Small but nicely appointed and quaint establishment.
Appetizer of Parmigianono. Served warm, very nice way to start the experience with a glass of house Chianti.
Main entrees were Seafood Risotto, Sausage Linguini, Spaghetti & Meatballs. Delicious. Fantastic.
Fresh warm bread accompanied the entrees.
The portions were generously sized. Hot. Excellent dishes. An Italian Christmas Eve.
Great service.
Will do again!
