We have always been of Lloyd’s on 280 in Hoover .. I have that I can’t have anything ; made of, cooked in the same oil with, ect,,ect, ect…
I sound like a really awful diner! But, I can get sick for days from an attack from just a small amount of Gluten. But, never, have I ever gotten sick at Lloyd’s Restaurant ❤️ WE were so sad when The Hoover Restaurant closed . But, THE Sylacauga Lloyd’s has the same Great Food Even more choices that I can eat. And , the same wonderful staff work at Sylacauga. At least our waitress was from 280 Hoover. I think the poitions have become larger. 10 stars

Very expensive. $6.00 for a small bowl of salad, though fresh, not worth it. Wish I had read the review about the broccoli casserole beforehand, less than blah, and barely warm. Never been a fan of the onion string, ring, things, mind not changing, and weren’t even hot.
The kids liked the banana pudding, but not the Mac and cheese, I agree with them. My chicken tenders were the only truly hot item served to me on the platter. They weren’t terrible, but no kind of sauce offered to go with them. Chicken livers were tender but lacked flavor, other local restaurants are better. We will eat the leftover with some added adjustments, too expensive to feed to the waste can.
Overall, this was a been there done it kind of trip. Probably won’t be on the list of choices for any future outings with the family.
Maybe there are some truly tasty menu items, but with their high menu prices I am not willing to spend so much on food that I am not sure about just to figure out.

Had a long day went in for some comfort food, but I was not disappointed. The wait staff was amazing. The food was amazing. I had a great fish sandwich with a slice of coconut cream pie that you would almost smack your moma if she tried to sneak a bite. My dad had a chicken salad that was big enough to feed 3 grown men. Would highly recommend.

UPDATE: Went back on a Monday evening. This place has REALLY gone downhill since opening. Service was ok, but the food is very meh to bad. I had the hamburger steak and onion rings. The hamburger steak was such a low quality that it tasted off, but it was cooked well. The onion rings are the saddest representation of the dish I have ever seen. They were decent for small amounts of breading clinging for its life to a sad onion loop.

I really don’t know what is going on here, but I won’t be recommending them to friends.

Was there day one for their soft opening. We got there and the hostess seemed a little overwhelmed, but she got us seated within 30 minutes on OPENING DAY.

The food is great and was served promptly. I had the Smokey Burger and it was very good. I do have to note that the burger does not come with a side, so I got the Fried Green Tomatoes. That was a great choice as they were incredible!

Dessert was banana pudding. I was surprised that it tasted homemade! It didn’t last long.

Will definitely be back!

BBQ tasted like it was reheated (absolutely disgusting). At least my dog found it somewhat palatable.

Although fried oysters are on their menu, they are never available for ordering (why are they still on the menu?) I’ve tried multiple times to order without success.

I looked forward to Lloyd’s opening this location but have been disappointed every single time I’ve eaten there.

Ok well, it’s hard to figure where to start. The hosts were nice. Place did look clean. Gonna be honest though, it’s not any better then what was there before. It is very expensive! $60 before tip. We ordered the fried green tomatoes and they were good and came on time. I had the rib plate and really didn’t care for the bbq sauce. The ribs were very tender though and not dry. Hubs had the catfish strip plate. The catfish was good. The fried onions not so much. We both opted for the broccoli casserole and side salads as well. Stay away from the casserole. It was mush and blah. The salad was just an iceberg chop with carrots no tomatoes no cucumbers oh and we got it after our meal was delivered because we ask about it. All in all I say not worth the cost. They still have lots of bugs to work out.

We ordered hamburger steak it was burnt on bottom. The gravity on it was a thick as pudding. The salad was lettuce and cut carrots. The rolls the ones that come from just plain store bought instead of a cooked roll. It was a mistake to go in there. The service was great. You couldn’t get better service anywhere.

Well I finally tried the new Lloyd’s in Sylacauga and was very disappointed. I ordered the Greek chicken, wife had a hamburger steak. Waitress took our order, I ordered a appetizer onion rings. Salad came and as I was eating the salad the waitress informed me they were out of Greek chicken (she forgot) she said. I ordered the half fried chicken only because we had already been there 20 minutes. Onion rings came and I think there was maybe 5 rings, smh, onion straws are what they are called Lloyd’s. Not even worth it. The fried chicken was bland no seasoning, the butter beans bland, I wanted a baked potato but also out The okra as the waitress stated was straight out of the bag frozen, and also no seasoning. I honestly had better fried chicken at a gas station convenience store. My wife’s (hamburger steak) was dry, and bland thank goodness for the mediocre gravy that tasted just like the packaged gravy. I wouldn’t recommend at all unless you just like food with no flavor.

We ordered the catfish strips with salad, green beans, fried green tomatoes. Some of the worst and most greasy food I have ever tried to eat. The hush puppies were burned and hard and the onion rings were a pile of greasy strings. The salad was old lettuce. $50 with tip for 2 orders. Never again!
