I work near here and have been wanting to try this place since I have been in the area. This place did not disappoint! I walked in, and I believe the owner was the one who greeted me with a smile, something that not everyone does anymore! It was quick to get my food, but not quick enough to where the plate was just thrown together. The mac was maccin, the rice was ricing, and the chicken was doing it’s thing!!! Will definitely come back here 🙂 Thank you for the great service and a delicious lunch :)!!!!!

We were quite excited to learn that they added this L&L Barbecue here in our neighborhood in San Clemente
To our surprise, visiting the place for the first time yesterday with my family, we were told that they don’t serve BBQ chicken in this location. It’s either they ran out chicken as early as 6 PM or they don’t serve it at all.
The short lady behind the counter seems to hate her job. She has zero personality and does not even smile to customer.
We immediately left the place and went to our usual Japanese dining place, Full Moon, nearby.

I’m disappointed as I love this type of food and we’ve had a few decent meals here but they’ve gone from inconsistent to consistently bad both in the quality of food and service.
I keep hoping each bad experience was a one-off but it’s become the norm.
I order thru the app, am given a time, go sit in the restaurant for 45 minutes while the lackadaisical kid at the counter dismisses my inquiries with “it’ll be a moment”. I get home, open the bag almost an hour after ordering and the containers are all covered in different kinds of messy goo and the food was disgusting – overcooked, cold, messily packed …
We highly recommend you don’t waste your money here, you WILL be disappointed.
No more 2nd, 3rd, 4th etc chances for this place.

I like L&L. I know every location is a franchise so they’re all run differently. But all I wanted with my order was some extra sauce. They gave me one, but said they would have to charge for another. It’s 12 noon on a Sunday. No one is here. I bought a drink because I believe when you like a place you should help them out. Drinks are a big help to restaurants. I got denied for one more tiny cup of sauce??? I’m not asking for 10 more, or even 5 more just one more tiny cup. I’m in the Dana Point area once a week because of my job. I’d rather spend my money at In-N-Out where the sauces are unlimited. I’m not going to stop going to L&L. But, I’ll think twice about coming to this one again.

Such a great spot for a quick meal! We love the BBQ beef bowl. It’s a good size portion for the price and the marinade is sooo good. I don’t know what they do but it’s delish. Tried the chicken bowl too but it doesn’t have the same flavor as the beef. The people who work here are kind and helpful, they even remembered my husband and dog’s names!

We used the app to order pick up. The order process was simple and straightforward. We ordered Chicken Katsu Plate and BBQ CHICKEN. Both were delicious and fresh. Great experience and we definitely be regulars. Will also check out catering for parties.

San Clemente location was super clean and nice and temperature cool inside. The cashier was very polite, friendly and efficient. Our order was perfect and delicious. We also tried their new item lumpia (pork and shrimp) was very delicious. Aloha and mahalo!

L&L is hands down my favorite BBQ spot of all time however this location is a joke…. I have ordered from here 3 times and the portion I receive is minuscule at best. I am ordering their BBQ mix that is supposed to be their biggest plate and it came with one measly piece of beef. I am used to my plate being filled to the brim not being served mostly cabbage and an empty box.
