I’ve given this place several chances (at least 4-5 times) because I love Hawaiian food and L&L. However, every time I’ve ordered something, the food has been quite terrible. Overcooked, not flavorful in some dishes or overly flavored/salty in others, rice is poorly cooked (don’t know how y’all messed that one up). After this last meal (BBQ mix plate), I’ve decided that I am no longer coming to this location. I’ll only go to the Lacey location because they never disappoint.

The staff was very friendly and recommended different foods based on customer taste. There was a lot of available seats and it was so spacious. As an islander who moved to the states, L&L is a comfort food that reminds us of home. As well as the decor that represent where we came from. A home away from home. The prices was around $30 per person with local Hawaiians juice that was deliciously paired with the food.

First time here! The cashier was very helpful with what they had on the menu. And what she had suggested were great choices for us. We had also got a couple of cheesecake slices the Mango was very delicious. Highly recommended

I’ve loved L&L BBQ for years, but this location has always been very inconsistent. If the one specific, energetic manager is not there, the daytime cooks are pretty terrible. I’m not sure if other items are similar, but they cook up a bunch of spam musubi early in the day and keep them in a warm tray for hours until they are rubbery and frankly inedible. I asked politely for fresh musubi today and they handed me back the same ones after 5 min. I recommend sticking with entrees only or skip this location entirely.

MAN their food ROCKS !!! You have to come by and give it a try. Amazing Chicken Katsu with Curry. Love their curry on rice !!! I had their Monday special Sweet Mochiko Chicken. The chicken has a crispy batter and lightly sauced to maintain that crunch. Even the mini is good size portion. The SPAM Musubi is a delight. Love that gravy. My son told me about this place. He went 4 times the first week and twice a week since.

Finding dairy free options at places to eat is hard, but I’m thankful for places like L & L where I know we can get tasty food and great service. Tables were nice and clean and well stocked with condiments as well. They have daily specials and a great array of drink options as well.

It is by far the best L and L Hawaiian BBQ place I have been to. I am from Honolulu HI and this location in Tumwater WA out ranks all of them. The manager is very happy spirited as well as the staff. Oh yeah they even have Chantilly cake, guava and passion cake. Soon good! Thank you Tumwater L and L

Went here on a whim. I wasn’t sure what to expect as I am not familiar with Hawaiian cuisine in general but the Loco Moco turned out to be pretty good although I felt the gravy could use a bit more zing, but that’s what condiments are for. The fruit freezes are delicious as well. I hope to be able to enjoy other items on the menu sometime soon.

Overall, this place is good, but not great. Compared to other Hawaiian barbecue I’ve been to the meats are on point. Had the Kahlúa pork and the barbecue plate combo. The macaroni salad side is at best, just OK. The musubi is also just OK.
