We ate here recently in the food court and it was, honestly, one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in a long time.
The environment felt unpleasant: very loud, tables appeared dirty, and the woman at the counter seemed visibly irritated that customers were ordering food at all. Service came across as unfriendly and annoyed rather than rushed.
I ordered the Orange Chicken. The breading was completely soggy, soaked in what tasted like a cheap, overly sweet premade sauce with no clearly identifiable flavor. The rice was so overcooked it had more in common with porridge than rice.
My husband had the Crispy Curry Chicken. Somehow the breading was even wetter and softer than mine. His rice had the same mushy consistency, and the curry sauce was, in our opinion, inedible — oddly colored, unpleasantly thick, and tasting nothing like curry.
We were not expecting fine dining. However, at nearly $20 per plate, we did expect something at least on the level of a basic fast-food chain. Unfortunately, this fell far below even that very modest expectation.
Definitely not a place we would return to or recommend.

Beach Cleaner
The food is ok but the one stars are for the service. I normally go here but all year, the service was the same…. rude and they don’t even say thank you. One time a guy cashier took my order but he was more interested in talking to the other worker. Always the same front staff, they barely speak english, but could at least smile at their customers? I stopped coming here and go to Kalbi Express instead.

The images did not match with the food they cook and/or boil. Correspondingly — they added too much noodles and not much vegetables in mine. (For context, I ordered seafood noodle soup.) As a Canadian and a frequent traveller to Europe, this restaurant (to me) is standard and nothing too too special.
As there was only three workers and because I did not like the food that much, I’ll give credit by inputting 4 stars for service but 3 stars overall.

It’s a waste of time and money waiting to eat this food. The female staff at the cashier is very insincere and rude. If she doesn’t want to do business, it would be good for both her and us( customers) to just close the store. The food is terrible, so don’t go again.

I ordered to go on the phone This LNL is a ripoff paid $24.99 for bbq shortribs never paid that much before same item at keaau location is $17.59 a difference of $7.40
Chicken katsu mini was $15.69 there and at keaau was $10.80 a difference of $4.80 so I paid $12.20 more to eat at this LNL Hilo ! I guarantee this will be the last time ! I don’t care that your rent is more LNL is a chain serving the same food and people expect to pay the same price regardless of the location they expect same food quality as well .

Horrible! waste of money! do not eat here! Kimchi had brown spots and tasted spoiled. Everything was very salty, shrimp and fish tasted old. The fat on the kalbi had a funky flavor. And to top it off our sodas we ordered from their machine tasted dirty. Now me and my daughter’s stomachs are upset. Hopefully we don’t get food poisoning. At least the young woman at the cashier was nice. But so sad we were so hungry and we had to throw our food away cause not safe to eat!!

We thought we give it another try yesterday 04/27/22, because we have been at L & L numerous times before, but yesterday we are as disappointed as it was the last visit we had, I don’t have much to say other than we are disgusted of the food that they served in L & L we have proven it now, im sure they know what they do, they obviously use there left over food and re-use it in the rest of there menu choices, unfortunetely thats what i discovered in my “hot and sour soup” I ordered, the chicken was hard to bite, old cut bbqued and re-used it in my soup, you be the judge (see photos) and my husband served were overcooked soogy noodles, we lost our appetite, i do not consider putting reviews to anywhere we dine but this time I had to share our experienced that way they will know and hopefully they will serve quality food overall.

The food was better than most Hawaiian BBQ. Got the BBQ combo and the meat were grill perfectly. The best beef I had at Hilo. Tried many place and their beef were tough and chewy. Gladly come back for simple and cook perfectly food.
