Went here last night and dined in for dinner. I ordered a “Half & Half Combo” with the Chicken Katsu, BBQ Beef Short rib, rice and fries. We also split (not pictured) an order of the Spam Musubi. The Spam Musubi is a 10/10, absolutely delicious and something I will probably be reordering any time I return. I really liked the Chicken Katsu as well – fried but not oily or greasy, it was excellent. The BBQ Beef Short Rib has a GREAT flavor, and it was very tender, but be warned it was extremely hard to cut with the super cheap plastic knives they had in the restaurant. I ended up picking it up and just taking bites off it that way.

The space itself is….fine. It’s got maybe 7-10 tables or so to dine inside, nothing to write home about with the atmosphere but it’s good enough. They also carry a selection of Hawaiian sodas, which I had never seen before and didn’t have a chance to try, but will try on my next visit.

A person I was with got the Kalua Pork, and while I didn’t get to try it myself, he said it was delicious and it also looked great. I might pick that next time over the BBQ Beef Short Rib if I’m dining there.

Glad that this place is here though, very nice to have some new variety in Towson.

This spot was so good, I wanted to try something new and this had just opened. I got the BBQ mix and spam masubi, I thought it was pretty pricy until I started eating and you definitely get your moneys worth of food, everything was cooked really well my personal favorite was the BBQ beef and the Mac salad. Definitely give it a try!

The easiest way to travel is by way of food. Today I visited Hawaii and it was good.
The star of the show is the marinade and/or sauce that is as good as any that this well traveled pallet has ever tasted.
I had the beef and chicken with a mix of sides (rice, Macaroni Salad and mixed vegetables).
The meat was great as was the rice. The mixed veggies were steamed from frozen (unseasoned and bad texture).
The Mac salad would be ok if Marylanders didn’t make such make such great macaroni salad.
Try Hawaiian Sun drinks; they are unique and refreshing. The fruit flavors are different than mainland offerings.
Two negatives; Parking in Towson is terrible so accessibility is challenging wich will limit the frequency that I return. I also wish that the meat was smoked or charcoal grilled with the same marinade/sauce.

If you’ve ever had L&L in Hawaii or out on the West Coast, you’ll be happy to know this new spot in Towson is the real deal. It’s just as solid as the ones out west, which is a huge relief if you’ve been craving a proper plate lunch.
I went with the Chicken Katsu and a Spam Musubi. I swapped the scoops to get two helpings of the Hawaiian Mac salad and just one rice—highly recommend if you’re a fan of their mac. The protein portion was big, everything was delicious, and it’s exactly the flavor profile I’ve come to expect from the chain over the years.
If you’ve never tried L&L, do yourself a favor and check this place out. The restaurant was super clean and the staff were friendly, which is always a plus for a new opening. Plan to spend about $16–$22 per person for the plate meals, but honestly, the portions are big enough that you won’t leave hungry.
Definitely a great addition to the area.

We got the mixed bbq platter and the short rib platter and 2- sides of 2 piece garlic shrimp our total was $55 at first I was upset because the sides of shrimp are highly overpriced but I can say both platters were delicious! The rice with the Mac salad and meat ate the perfect flavor combo! Meat was tender and flavored the rice was soft and fluffy and the Mac salad was seasoned and delicious
The Girl Yasmean at the front was Amazing kind she greeted me she was polite very friendly I will absolutely recommend and revisit
