All aboard our full-service restaurant with a bar in the back! Take a ride on our dining car, where it looks as if you are dining on a train. Our Caboose Bar in the back is built out of railroad ties! We provide an experience, where people can once again feel as if they are on a train passing through Marengo, into a journey across the country. Great food & an awesome atmosphere! We stopped in for lunch and were seated quickly. Cool little booths that appear to be old school bus seats. Each booth had a TV and window dressing to give you the impression of rolling down the tracks.

Went for the prime rib special. Save the trip. Prime rib was obviously sliced with a meat slicer to approximately 3/16th of an inch, then overcooked on the flat top. $18 for a sandwich portion. Service was good, wait staff just needs a little more time to get to the next level. Our waitress was really good just inexperienced. Cute place with a lot of potential. Just need to improve a lot on the food quality.

Lizzie’s is a different and unique dining experience. If you are interesed in a restaurant experience that is non-conventional, I would encourage you to stop by. Converting the narrow space into the atmosphere of a dining car was a clever idea, with the ever changing scenery giving the impression (kind of) that one is on a moving train.

Neat little restaurant that resembles a dining car of an old train. TV’s at every table that plays constant video of scenery that makes you feel like you are on a train & you see the scenery as the train is going down the tracks. The food isn’t impressive & I’ve eaten there & tried about 6 different items. It tastes bland to me & this is only my opinion. They also have a caboose bar & serves alcohol beverages. Prices are on the high side just as everything else is these days. This is a fairly new place that opened in April so they are still working on getting their business started. Handicapped assessable & parking right out front.

New lunch place in downtown Marengo. Food was good. My salad was very large. Kitchen was busy so was a little slow, but servers were excellent. Definitely a good spot for lunch!
