I ordered the Hangover 2.0 and it is delicious!!! My boyfriend ordered the shrimp and grits and he loves it! This is our first time here and we will definitely be back! There is a wait, the food is made fresh once you order. We walked around and looked at the stuff in Harley Davidson. Lovely atmosphere! Definitely a must try!!!

The food was prepared fresh and tasted as such! Flavorful and well layered, I couldn’t finish the shrimp & grits but I even appreciated the aluminum to-go plates for oven heat up! We also ordered the Secret Menu item which was just as good, with a delicious Mango smoothie.
The Harley location made the reasonable wait time enjoyable as we browsed and asked questions of the friendly staff.
There are not many ‘soul food’ options in the Pacific Northwest that have this level of quality in food, service and atmosphere, great overall experience.

Sadly I do NOT RECOMMEND.
No specific area to order except going up to the counter behind people eating hoping to get someone’s attention.
Ordered to go and sat in the front where someone had previously been sitting and eating.
I was rudely interrupted mid meal & TOLD to move to the back because that is where they take orders.
This was not a request & felt Extremely humiliating.
⛔️No signs specifying “seating not allowed” nor a place to “order here”
♂️However the white gentleman previously sitting in the same spot was not asked to move???
I suppose it is up to the owners discretion.
❌Not going back. Not recommending.

Lizzie Lou’s is truly a hidden gem. Owned and led by Ness, with Chelsea assisting in the kitchen, you can tell right away this place is run with heart and passion. They cook right in front of you, and everything is fresh and made to order. I had the shrimp and grits, and they were absolutely amazing—packed with flavor, with big, juicy shrimp that were perfectly cooked. Ness is incredibly welcoming, and it’s clear she’s well known and loved around town. Even though Lizzie Lou’s is located inside a Harley Davidson dealership, it feels like home while you sit and wait for your food. Great food, great people, and an unforgettable experience.

We came in on a Saturday morning and it took an hour for our food bc there is only (1) cook. So don’t come here if you’re super hungry.
Food was ok. Ordered Shrimp and grits her way, chicken and French toast and a hangover. The honey glazed on the chicken that came with the French toast was burnt, so we didn’t eat the chicken. French toast was good though. The food was good, nothing to rave about, just not worth an hour wait.
If it weren’t for the wait and our hunger maybe we would’ve had a different experience.
Nonetheless that’s why we write reviews to share our experience. The goal isn’t to vent but to help other diners know what to expect and maybe even give the owner something to improve on.

The meal I experienced was truly exceptional, ranking among the finest I’ve had since arriving in Washington State. I particularly enjoyed the Shrimp and Grits, enhanced by the addition of hot links, which was so delightful it evoked a strong emotional response. I also savored a cup of Swamp Water, a refreshing beverage made from a secret recipe. I highly recommend trying all the offerings at least once. Furthermore, the owner is a truly wonderful individual.

The pancakes and French toast are absolutely irresistible, combining sweetness with a hint of savory. She even crafts her own homemade maple syrup, which is simply divine. Her commitment to using natural ingredients is evident in every dish, and she personally takes care of all the cooking. The food is definitely worth the wait. I highly recommend this restaurant, and when I find myself in Seattle or its surroundings again, I will certainly visit Lizzy Lou’s.

This place was super good. I got the shrimp and grits with sausage, and it was top notch. The workers are also super nice and helpful. It’s in a motorcycle dealership, so don’t be confused when you walk in. The food can also take awhile. But if you have the time, definitely worth it. Definitely going to revisit the next time I’m in Tacoma.
