This review is specifically for the newer Redbank location. We had a late night concert Monday night at the White Knoll High School PAC center and decided afterwards to go to this location. We weren’t aware that they closed at 9pm until after we were leaving. Most of our party arrived at 8:15pm but we had some stragglers that arrived at 8:40pm. The entire staff was soooooooo incredible and accommodating, everyone helping each other get drinks, refills, bread and food out soooooooo quickly. Not one time did we ever feel “rushed” or “hovered” over to “hurry up.” Instead they just let us enjoy our dining experience! The food was fantastic, even at the end of the shift, it was still all so fresh and delicious! I think we wrapped up our bills at 9:30pm. We all thanked the servers and all the management staff for allowing us to stay and enjoy our meal and we humbly apologized to them honestly not knowing the time they closed. The manager reassured us it was no problem at all and asked us if we enjoyed everything, food, service and all. We enthusiastically replied YES! I just wanted to specifically shout out to the store and staff how wonderful our dining experience was. I’m sorry for posting a few days afterwards, but please know your team was phenomenal and it didn’t go unnoticed. Ty so very much again!

Newest Lizards Thicket and its a busy place on Sunday. But even crowded, service is fantastic and the food is good. Restaurant is organized and clean. Staff is friendly and courteous. Food comes out quickly. Tea is delicious. Prices are reasonable and menu has lots to choose from. Plenty of seating in dining room.

Local restaurant with a variety of foods on the menu. Our party of six was seated quickly. Our food and beverage orders were taken as soon as we were ready. The food was delivered as ordered. Portion sizes are large and delicious. We will return.

Eat here at your own peril, this was the worst meal we have ever paid for! we have eaten at the Lizards Thicket in Columbia twice, it was much better. we decided to eat at this one since it was closer to our drive from Augusta. We had the chicken fried chicken with rice, yams, pork chop, mashed potatoes and some other stuff. the cornbread was dry and just not good. They marketed it as southern cooking, definitely not the southern cooking we’re used too. I can’t even say the drinks were good, the coffee was better after dosing it up, the lemonade was not sweet. We took two bites and left and went to McDonalds.
My overall impression? very disappointing. My daughter felt bad that we paid for her meal, so she paid us back using the name Nasty Lizard.

I have to give credit where credit is due to the drive thru cashier and the line cooks this morning 10/22/25 around 9am. The cashier was friendly and engaging. Furthermore she didn’t cut me off every 5 seconds as I was ordering allowing me to finish my sentence which is a huge breath of fresh air these days. The line cooks took the time to actually grill my onions instead of throwing them in a fryer basket that leaves them burnt tasting and greasy. The food was all correct and delicious and it didn’t take long at all. By far the best crew I’ve encountered since this location opened their doors!!!!!! Kudos!!!!

Here rn and the food is not hot. Everything we ordered is warm at best. Everything tastes good, but they are definitely rationing food on the smaller side. Would appreciate the food being hot next time. Dressing could have been baked longer.

Great spot for lunch or dinner. Delicious country style cookin. Think Cracker Barrel style meals, only much better! (without the kitchy country store. Our server was outstanding. The Red Bank location is one of their newest builds. It has a large spacious dining room. Have a nice meal at your table then pay for your meal on the way out.

Went through the drive thru… was not happy when I saw my plate when I got home what kind of mess is this chicken looks like it needs some meat on its bones very dissatisfied yet another place in Lexington that I will not be eating at not ghat there’s much here to select from… everything else was fine.. pricey for an anorexic chicken.

Went to Lizards Thicket July 20th and I ordered fried chicken 2 thighs.. I don’t even know these are. I got three pieces of over fried and extremely dry pieces of chicken. The Mac and cheese was so bland. Mostly cream and noodles. Very disappointed with my order

The young lady was really nice. I just wish I’d checked my salad before I left. I’m pretty sure it’s missing at least half of the toppings (no egg, cheese, or diced ham).
