This was a great stop while traveling. Enjoyed the large selection of southern foods and reasonable prices. Our server Madison was fantastic. Restaurant was clean and tables were well stocked with condiments. I did the option with four of the vegetable sides, my favorites were the squash casserole and the potato salad. Mom had the fried chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy and lima beans, she didn’t love the breading on the chicken and the potatoes tasted like instant. But overall, good experience!

Very good Southern soul food type menu. The BBQ chicken was good, but you have to like mustard in your sauce. The baloney breakfast sandwich also got great reviews at my table. The food was good quality and large portions, but not legendary. Not much happening with decor, but friendly staff!

This was my first time in the south (coming from up in New England), and it was my first real southern restaurant experience. Great food, kind staff, and a nice experience overall. If I’m ever back in your neck of the woods, I’ll have to stop in again.

Country cooking at its best! I stopped in for lunch and was not disappointed. The restaurant was clean , the service great, the staff friendly, and the food was amazing. My waitress Ernestine made sure I had everything I I needed. I definitely recommended Lizards Thicket for anyone looking for a good meal at fast food prices.

Ordered a 4 pice vegetable plate. Got home and was missing the Mac and cheese. Was told I could not receive a partial refund but I could drive 10 minutes back to the store to receive the Mac and cheese. By the time I would get home to enjoy my meal it would be all cold. Thanks to failing at your job to the person who prepped the plate. And thanks to the manager for failing at customer service.

I was in the area on a business trip and was looking for some good southern style food and Lizard’s Thicket Restaurant did not disappoint! Had the hamburger steak with smothered onions, rice and gravy, and green beans Everything was superb with good portion sizes! The waitress Alaina was great and would checkup on you to see if you need anything. One of the only disappointments was that the person up front wasnt greeting anyone and was on her phone. I had to walk into the dining area to be recognized by someone’s waitress who asked me to sit anywhere I wanted. Its suppose to be seat yourself but it didn’t feel very welcoming as a first time customer considering there wasn’t even a welcome or hello from anyone until I was out in the dining area deciding where to sit at. When it was time to pay the bill the same person up front was talking to people on her cellphone while trying to ring me up.
