This restaurant was recommended by the locals for a good steak house.

Within walking distance from our hotel.

We did not make a reservation. I recommend that you do that so you don’t have to leave and come back.

Once we were seated, we were lucky enough to have Rachel as our waitress. I finally found someone who fits that saying, “Hostess with the mostess!” We absolutely adored her. She was very knowledgeable about the menu and how the chefs prepared the meals. She was attentive to me and especially my son.

Speaking of the chef. I have utmost respect for any chef who can cook a mean steak. Go here and get a steak. You will not regret it. It was so flavorful and perfectly cooked. The vegetables themselves were beyond any flavor I’ve ever eaten before. Spectacular! And let’s not forget the salad. Although forgotten, some side salads are sad. This side salad is speakable! All the griddles to go with the homemade dressing.

My taste buds went on a magical journey with this meal.

Start to finish this was a truly great dining experience. Greeted at the door, sat quickly and server was to the table immediately. Took our drink orders and came back for our orders…. Lets start with the Deep Fried Deviled Eggs are a MUST! Braised Short ribs are amazing, onto the entrée, we all tried each others and everyone better than the last. Finally dessert, save room, don’t save room eat them anyway. Everything top notch. I would drive the 15 hours to eat here again. Well done!

This was one of those great ‘road trip’ finds that make great memories. The food was very good and innovative. the service was extremely efficient and friendly. The ambience was very good and and inviting place to enjoy a relaxing dinner I had a steak and it was done just how i like (blue!) and the flavor was very good. We had an appetizer of spicy deviled eggs that was very good.

I really hate giving reviews like this especially in my hometown but the LBG has let me down every single time. I had been there several times prior to the pandemic and the Food and service were terrible. I recently had friends in town and thought it’s been a while and a lot has changed since then so let’s give it another try. When we got there the restaurant was mostly empty and yet the servers were still running around like they had a packed house. It took forever to get anything. And all of the food was overcooked. My friend ordered the prime rib medium. It was served well done and was cooked like a regular steak? What is that? My fish was over cooked on the outside and undercooked on the inside. It was supposed to be “crusted” but it was more “dusted”. The polenta cake was essentially a hocky puck. And oddly enough all the veggies were totally undercooked. The servers were VERY nice but all seemed acting like they were understaffed. They did offer me a free desert to apologize which was nice and it was not bad but I can not in good conscious suggest that people eat here.

$36…..8 oz. SIRLOIN steak that comes with mashed potatoes and vegetables as sides. Asked for extra vegetables instead of the potatoes. Apparently $4 to substitute one side out for more of the other side that already comes with the dinner. $40 for the food that you see. Sat in the bar, and it was not busy. Resturaunt as a whole was not busy. Service was sub-par and very inefficient all around. I will never even think about stepping foot into this resturaunt again in my life. Also, make sure to read the reviews that the resturaunt left back on people that gave them honest, negative reviews. You wont need to know much more to make up your mind. You be the judge…..

To owners response….first of all I will never adjust to greedy owners and places that rip people off. Secondly, if that’s how you want to conduct business, that is on you, but you will soon realize that customers have other options, and operating like you do at some point you will not be on those lists of those customers. You can rip tourists off all that you want. That is on your conscious every day. I have not spoken to one local person who is happy at all with your establishment, and feel exactly how I do. Maybe I should have taken a better photo to show the proportions of the entire meal. Half a plate of veggies yea right also, to charge someone $4 to substitute one side for the other of the sides that already comes with the dinner is outrageous. It wasn’t a separate special request. It wasn’t substituting for any other special side on the menu. It wasnt asking for another extra side of vegetables. Again, that is only one part of the issues I had with my experience at your establishment. Your menu is terrible, and the pricing is completely out of line for every single item listed. Which again these are all things that you take upon yourself, and your business, to put out there and run the way you would like to. You are in the single order business tho. You are not in the happy return customer business i can tell you that right now. Your response is a complete joke filled with nothing but arrogance, and no concern for paying customers. People who chose to give your establishment a try. In fact you have left the same kind of degrading remarks to everyone else who has given an honest, negative review. You treat your customers like they are meaningless, and can’t take a single ounce of constructive criticism. Look in the mirror. Do a better job. Everyone should be having an incredible experience at your establishment from the food, (quality and quantity), all of the way followed through to the service they receive. That is your job after all right? If you were good at that, and actually were concerned past people’s money, you may start getting better reviews. Your place is a joke. I am born and raised in Montana. I travel all over for work. I eat at many resturuants a week. This place is an absolute embarrassment. “Fine Dining” leave hungry, and in this case very disappointed all around. Most importantly QUIT MAKING EXCUSES! Have a great day!

This has been the nicest dining place in Livingston for the past 45 years. It’s been a while since I’ve been there. We went this weekend and that hasn’t changed. You won’t find a nicer restaurant in Livingston.

Dinner was delicious! Our server, Dean, was fantastic – knowledgeable and very helpful. We had the ahi bowl and the pistachio and panko crusted yellowfin tuna with carrots. We’re looking forward to coming back!

Looking online, I was going to order their Bolognese but when I got there, I found out that that menu was more than a year old and they no longer offer it. I’m posting the current menu. Service was amazing and the prime rib was juicy and tender. The potatoes tasted flat. No flavor at all. Little pricey at $47 but that’s the going rate these days.
