Avoid this place – quality control is an issue – I stopped in thinking it was the BBQ place that used to be here. Ordered a double burger that came with long strands of hair cooked inside the beef patties – not just a stray hair – it’s like it was done on purpose. Head down the road – plenty of better places to choose from…

On our way out of town and swung by for a quick meal. Gorgeous and very helpful waitresses and bartenders. Mini tacos, perfect. Vibes were good. Beer was great. Def stopping back in on our next trip!

Livestock Bar & Grill is a true hole-in-the-wall and very much a local hangout. Walking in felt a little outside our usual scene, but everyone we interacted with was genuinely nice and welcoming.

They have live music and a laid-back, no-frills atmosphere that clearly caters to the regulars who keep this place going. It’s not polished or trendy, but that’s part of the charm.

Bonus points for great service: my husband accidentally forgot to close out his tab, and when we called later, they handled it without any issue at all. That kind of thing says a lot about the people running the place.

If you’re looking for a real neighborhood bar with character, live music, and friendly staff, this is exactly that.

Hubs and I went to this place last night after hearing kind of mixed reviews. Thought we would give it a shot. Hubs got some beef nachos to start off with. The nachos were kind of sad. The chips were on a stale side, not light and crispy. He asked for no tomatoes, and tomatoes came on there anyway and then there were torn off pieces of Iceberg lettuce, chopped white onion, beans and nacho cheese sauce. The sauce was delicious. I got a double smash burger with cheese and requested just that and pickles but it came with lettuce and onion which wasn’t a big deal to pick off, and I upgraded from fries to onion rings. The burger was very good! The onion rings were terrible and so greasy that I couldn’t eat them. Even after trying to soak up with a napkin. The server (who was very good) offered to get me fries instead which I took her up on. Fries were okay, nothing special, no seasonings or anything. My husband got a crispy chicken salad. The chicken was a flattened, breaded chicken breast that was sliced and served on top of a bed of iceberg lettuce with shredded cheddar and croutons (there might have been something else on there), but he was NOT impressed. I’m willing to go back and give it another shot because there were some other things that looked okay. Just not too great this time. One thing that I loved is that they make their ranch in house!! Which is something that their direct competitor a few doors down does not do and I wish they would. Server also said that Mary had made chicken n dumplings earlier in the week that were to die for….hoping it was just the few items we had that were not very good.

Absolutely Loved This Place!

Livestock Bar and Grille in Wright City is a hidden gem! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming and laid-back — perfect for a night out with friends or even just grabbing a drink after work. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure our experience was top-notch from start to finish.

The food? Outstanding. Everything we ordered came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor. Whether you’re into burgers, wings, or something a little more unique, they’ve got something for everyone. And the drinks were spot-on — strong pours, cold beer, and a great selection all around.

They often have live music or events going on, which really adds to the fun, community vibe. You can tell it’s a place where locals love to hang out — and now I know why.

Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area. We’ll definitely be back soon!

Livestock Bar & Grill has completely changed the game in Wright City. They took a once-shabby spot and turned it into an awesome place with great food, great people, and an even better atmosphere. But let’s talk about KARAOKE FRIDAY NIGHTS — it’s a blast. High energy, lots of laughs, amazing vibes, and a crowd that actually shows up to have fun. Whether you’re singing your heart out or cheering everyone on, it’s always a good time. This place feels like a true local hangout done right. If you haven’t been yet, you’re missing out.

If I could give 0 stars I think I would. We spent $50 for two adults and a toddler. The tacos (give me a break). 3 for $9 and they had literally unmelted slices of American cheese on them. The turkey melt was cold and just slapped on a cold hoagie. Husbands fries didn’t come out until after everyone was basically finished eating. There was only one server in the entire building, who was lovely. And there are no options for kids. The food was dry, cold, and honestly, seemed like someone who had no cooking experience made it. Just go to Railhouse if you’re thinking of going somewhere in town with good bar food. This isn’t it.

Went opening week/end and service was slow, but I figured it was just everyone figuring things out. I was right, we went again a couple weeks after opening and it was great! Food is very good and tastes fresh, drinks are reasonably priced and the atmosphere is friendly enough to where I feel comfortable bringing my kids. I’ll always miss chef. T and Louisiana q, but highly recommend livestock.
