Natural, wild yeast starter, plenty of hydration, and a cold and patient 12-hour rise come together to create a complex sourdough loaf. Our approach to bread forms the philosophy of our approach to every product we produce in our modern bakery, dedicated to the craft of handmade food. We specialize in all-natural sourdoughs, yeast-raised breads and buns, laminated pastries, seasonal salads, spreads, sandwiches and soups, and a curated brunch menu that highlights our bakery products and fresh ingredients. Our coffee program reflects the same approach, where every drink is prepared with the same precision and care that guides our baking.

I’m grateful when the tomato soup is available (and love that it’s made with coconut milk), and I appreciate that oat milk is offered for coffee. But beyond that, it’s become really hard to rely on this place for lunch. Every pizza, sandwich, and most savory options now seem to include dairy or egg.
I genuinely love the staff, they’re always kind and welcoming, and the bakery sweets and breads are fantastic (sometimes good sweets are worth bending the diet for!). That’s why this is so disappointing. I want to keep supporting this business.
Please consider adding a few more non-dairy/vegan lunch options. I would happily become a regular again and spend my money here if I had something I could consistently order.
While the food is fine, I would give 3.5 star vs its price.
I ordered a baguette. while they can bag and hand it to you bc it’s literally on the wall behind the register, instead you are given a number and now wait with a big crowd waiting for various things which would take longer time.
Price was surprising. $17 for Tuna salad sandwich and $7 for plain croissant, definitely on the very high side.
I would have rated it higher if the staff was kinder, but I didn’t experience that.
Solid 3 stars at best.
While I understand I could have been extra busy from Saturday and potential storm preparing guests, I would think there are ways to make their service faster and more efficient, which could help with operating cost. I also would have appreciated a smile from register or at pick up. But I appreciate the owner caring to respond to read and explain.
1. The woman at the counter didn’t greet them or say anything, just stood there staring silently until they ordered.
2. The bill was $46.38 and my dad asked if they could use a $100 bill. They said no sorry it could be counterfeit we don’t accept big bills. He said that’s fine, I have $45 in smaller bills, can I please pay now and run next door to break up the bigger bill for the extra $1.38? (They were having a sit down meal so it wasn’t like he could run away with the food or anything). She said no, you need to pay in full, pressured him to use a credit card (which incurs extra charges) then asked him to step aside because she had to help the next customer and he’s holding up the line. He said that’s fine, went to the liquor store next door to get change (magically his money was acceptable there), came back in one second and paid in full. The server was UNBELIEVABLY RUDE throughout the entire interaction. No apologies, no thank you. My dad was nothing but nice and patient.
3. He added cheese to the $18 spinach omelette and they charged $2 extra. Ok fine. He got honey in his tea and they charged him 50¢ extra. She did not tell them she was adding extra charges to the bill by the way. The omelette came out to $20, a cup of tea was $4.50. The $20 omelette was the tiniest thing he’d ever seen and came with no side except one(!) dry piece of bread. My mom got a slice of pizza it was $12. Okay um…..
4. And the grand finale: My dad asked if he could please have butter for his sad little dry piece of bread. HE WAS TOLD BUTTER COSTS EXTRA AND HE WOULD HAVE TO GET BACK IN LINE TO ORDER AND PAY FOR IT.
We’ve been in town since the place opened, always been loyal customers even as the prices skyrocketed over the years. Their greed is shameless. Management needs to make some serious changes if they don’t want to alienate their customer base because this is just appalling. Shame on you all!!! Honestly my parents deserve an apology.
There was a line to enter today as well. The line moved fairly well. They do have a QR code where you can order ahead and skip making the line.
My coffee was one of the best I have had. It was creamy and you could taste the coffee flavor. I paired it with a caprese sandwich which was also good. It tasted fresh. My son had a chocolate croissant. He has tasted many in different bakeries. He said this one was very tasty. I’ll have to try it next time to verify.
We came in early sunday but man was it busy already! I love the vibes there though despite the bustle. There’s a line but it moves fairly quick. Seating starts to fill up by 9:30am and up.
There is plenty to choose from but we went with their croissants and a few other things. The Croissants were Very Good! They are flaky buttery and I love that its not just the “airy” type of croissant. We got chocolate, almond and plain but I thoroughly enjoyed the simplicity but perfection of the plain one. We got their cheese sticks and financier to go as well. Liv also served delicious coffee with pretty latte arts!
I definitely get why this place attracts the crowd. Its a little high up there but again these pastries are delicious and fresh! A little splurging shouldnt hurt so much lol This has been an amazing experience and I would definitely recommend this place.
