Flavorful and fresh sushi for an affordable price. Their side dishes including seaweed salad, avocado salad, miso soup, edamame, and steamed shrimp dumplings are fantastic.
They have a great selection of sushi options with a variety of seafood, vegetable and tempura options. Their sushi is fresh, well-prepared and delicious! They also offer bento boxes and other entrées like fried rice and noodles.
The service is consistently attentive and prompt. Their servers are very friendly.
There is limited street parking.

We love this casual little Japanese restaurant, and have been coming here from the Chicago area for years- it’s full of character, the food is always amazing, and it’s right on the main drag in Galena. Most recent visit was to bring our adult kids, and they seemed to enjoy it! We ordered a little bit of everything, mostly rolls, and as a result, got it served in the big boat! Lots of fun. Service was friendly and didn’t take long, prices as always are very reasonable. One little quirk to remember- if you need to setup a reservation for a group, you can only do it within 24 hrs of the time you want to come- and over the phone. Very happy eating here as usual, and will keep coming back!

I’ve lived in California most of my life & the sushi from here is so superb! Unbelievably fresh sushi & perfectly cooked & everything else! Food presentation is so whimsical & thoughtful, with added plate decor & mouthwatering sushi. The Dancing Scallops are a particular favorite of mine & my family’s – just the best fried scallop ever. I dream of these babies.

Also, I was able to eat here while PREGNANT! (Don’t @ me lol) They have a big cooked sushi menu, which is a safer option for pregnant folks who are craving sushi but have worries about consuming raw fish or sushi CHECK THEM OUT!

Had the Teriyaki Chicken Bento Box for lunch. Everything was delicious!! Will go there again. I was surprised at the large portions. The box was large enough for an additional meal or large enough to share. The fried rice ranked in some of the best I have ever eaten. I loved the salad dressing with ginger in it. I am not a lover of sushi and hope that next time I can ask for substitute with another pork gyoza.

The miso soup and salad were great. The miso soup was a bit more flavorful than many Japanese restaurants I’ve visited. The dressing was pretty heavy on the salad, but it was still good. Some thing I didn’t quite enjoy was that they cut the egg roll appetizers in half in a triangle shape. I prefer my egg rolls whole, but that’s not a big deal. My Downtown roll and smoked salmon rolls came out and looked and tasted fantastic. Definitely come here!

Little Tokyo is a surprisingly delicious gem in downtown Galena. We have been wanting to go for awhile and glad we finally did! The actual restaurant is much larger than we presumed with two indoor dining rooms and outdoor seating as well. I’ve had a lot of mediocre ginger salads and miso soups but their soup and salad was actually super good and a great way to start off. Our table got the hibachi for two (which honestly could be enough for 3-4 people if you start with an appetizer), a couple sushi rolls, and the crispy Asian chicken. The hibachi rice and veggies were incredible and so flavorful. Nothing felt overly fatty or greasy and everything tasted really fresh and cooked just right. For Japanese food, this is by far one of my favorite spots I’ve been to in a long time. It’s authentic and well prepared. Pricing given this being a Galena restaurant was pretty fair as well and we had tons of leftovers to take home. We will absolutely be returning!

We enjoyed our dinner here! It’s delicious and affordable. The restaurant is so popular that it might take 20-40 minutes waiting in line, but overall the turnover rate is pretty high. We ordered 2 rolls and 1 fried rice. Both came with big portion – it’s definitely a stretch for two people to finish. Recommend to people visiting Galena!

Absolutely glad we made it here for lunch! We got the California roll, crunch roll, and the Romeo and Juliet roll. Were blown away with the flavor and presentation. Our host was very friendly and attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. Definitely going to be a regular stop of ours on our travels!!!
