Little Tokyo is a surprisingly delicious gem in downtown Galena. We have been wanting to go for awhile and glad we finally did! The actual restaurant is much larger than we presumed with two indoor dining rooms and outdoor seating as well. I’ve had a lot of mediocre ginger salads and miso soups but their soup and salad was actually super good and a great way to start off. Our table got the hibachi for two (which honestly could be enough for 3-4 people if you start with an appetizer), a couple sushi rolls, and the crispy Asian chicken. The hibachi rice and veggies were incredible and so flavorful. Nothing felt overly fatty or greasy and everything tasted really fresh and cooked just right. For Japanese food, this is by far one of my favorite spots I’ve been to in a long time. It’s authentic and well prepared. Pricing given this being a Galena restaurant was pretty fair as well and we had tons of leftovers to take home. We will absolutely be returning!

We enjoyed our dinner here! It’s delicious and affordable. The restaurant is so popular that it might take 20-40 minutes waiting in line, but overall the turnover rate is pretty high. We ordered 2 rolls and 1 fried rice. Both came with big portion – it’s definitely a stretch for two people to finish. Recommend to people visiting Galena!

The best sushi I’ve ever hand. I got the Romeo and Juliet roll, and it was SO flavorful. They have soy paper, which is a huge bonus for me (I don’t care for seaweed wraps). The service was great. The menu is enormous, so there is something for everyone – you don’t have to eat sushi, but I don’t know why you wouldn’t. 😉

Didn’t expect to find this gem in little ol Galena. Huge menu of options and sushi rolls for every taste and preference. Portion sizes on sushi rolls is huge compared to similar restaurants. My only ask would have been for more options of spicier type rolls but that’s likely my southwest upbringing craving some heat with my rolls.
