So let’s say you’re feeling Hibachi and Sushi for Lunch or Dinner – take a ride to the Little Tokyo Restaurant and bring your friends. Yes the cuisine is authentic and so very flavorful. But that’s just one part of this enjoyable experience. The best part is the staff who make you feel comfortable right away.

Little Tokyo is now gaining popularity, so if you are a little hungry when you arrive, the wait to get in the Hibachi room will make sure you are very hungry when you begin your dining experience.
The dining room is much quicker but not as enjoyable as being entertained by your own chef giving you a private face-to-face, spatula wielding, egg tossing, delightful cooking adventure.

You sit down at the grill which seats eight patrons and get to meet some new friends who live in the area and watch a grilling performance which starts out with a great fireball. It gets your attention. Our chef was Bagua who also was known as Hillbilly Hibachi and could be found at his food truck on his days off. He was a master chef and showman who would make Bobby Flay proud.

Your meal starts with a tasty miso soup, a seaweed salad, seasoned with red chili, sesame seeds and dressing. As an appetizer you will be amazed with their spring rolls that have a great deep fried crispy wrap topped with spicy mayo and eel sauce. Small portion orders of your choice of crab, tuna, shrimp tempura, gyoza stuffed dumplings, or avocado with tuna sashimi are just some of your choices. There is a full menu of carefully prepared sushi and over a dozen hibachi entrees that include Filet Mignon or Ribeye steak combos with shrimp, chicken, and salmon. Every meal includes grilled fried rice, vegetables and onions and a little bottle of traditional Saki.

Open daily from 8 am – 8 pm, no reservations accepted.
Casual attire is just fine, and oh yes… the portions are huge.

Great place to eat. Seat down and order off menu or go for the hibachi bar. We elected
the hibachi bar and one plate of food was enough for two people. Very busy place to eat. Food guilty was 5 stars.

Customer service was good. The food was great & fulfilling. The shrimp was tender, vegetables well done not too mushy/undercooked, chicken was well done but a little tough, spring rolls were great, soup/salad was the perfect pre-course meal. The amount of food that was given was enough for 2 people per plate. Otherwise, perfect area for family dining.

Little Tokyo Restaurant was absolutely tasty . You can choose from lunch or dinner. We had the Steak with fried rice, shrimp and vegetables. We were veterans with family at two grills. We were given a veteran discount! Excellent service! Delicious food! Thank you Little Tokyo Restaurant. 5 Stars

Seems like a dirty place, food was OK, service was meh. The server came and put the food on the table without saying the word, didn’t come back to check, forgot our waters. Food took a while. No one was friendly. I wouldn’t come back. I’m sure there is better options out there..

My family has been coming here since before I was born and every time it is excellent. Even the kids portions are very big and filling, and if you don’t eat it you’ll have a nice meal for the next day. The service is always fast even when it’s packed, and it’s so popular for good reason. The food is absolutely delicious and the soup and salad they bring out before the main meal are both great. The soup is both smooth and savory while the salad is crisp and cool. Most everything has a nice umami flavor, and that’s before you factor in the atmosphere. All the decorations are nice and so are the workers, who will make sure you’re taken care of and greet you kindly. One of, if not the best restaurant experience you’ll have in the area.

Also Note: The cheerful and fun atmosphere is greatly exemplified by the skillful tricks the cooks do, and they incorporate the audience as they cook in front of you by letting people volunteer to catch rice in their mouths.

This was my and my husband’s first experience with a hibachi restaurant and we both adored it! Watching everything get cooked right in front of us, with a dramatic flare, was a very fun experience. There were plenty of options to choose from. The soup was good – I tried ginger dressing for the first time; I found out I’m not a fan, but that’s okay! Whatever sauce was used to cook the rice, vegetables, and chicken in was very good. They were out of broccoli, so they offered us extra carrots, and we were more than happy with it. Both of us were amazed at how big our plates were! We ended up taking 3 to-go boxes home and shared it with two other people for dinner. We definitely want to return, the food was delicious and it was worth every penny!

Ok firstly the service was great! Very friendly! Now the food was a hot mess… miso soup had zero flavor, and the for gods sake don’t slather the spring roles with sauce… put that sauce on the side and let me decide if I want to add any… I ordered a tempura roll that I couldn’t taste because my other roll I ate first was soaked in spicy mayo, honestly I think my sushi was served as the side garnish… the amount of spicy mayo used at this place… I need to get some stocks!!! This place has potential! Do better!

We were very disappointed with our experience. It took an extremely long time for my husband’s food to arrive. I have never been to a restaurant where, when two people are dining together, one person is served and the other has to wait almost half an hour for their meal. By the time his food finally arrived, I had already finished mine.

What was even more frustrating was that we did not receive any apology or acknowledgment for the delay. A simple “sorry for the wait” would have made a big difference.

Additionally, when we arrived, we asked if they had ramen and were told yes. After being seated and looking through the menu (where ramen was not listed), we asked again and were told they did not have it. That was confusing and disappointing.

Overall, the experience did not meet our expectations, and the restaurant did not feel like an authentic Japanese restaurant.

The food was good, the chef entertaining. The staff kept our drinks topped off as well and they were kind. There was a wait. About 20 minutes in the lobby and 20 minutes at the table total – but at the table we had appetizers before the chef came out so it made the wait bearable.

I will say the draft from the grill vent was chilly when there was no fire from the hibachi. So you may want to bring a removable sweater cause it will warm up when the cooking begins.

My kids hadn’t been to hibachi before and had a blast. We had the steak, shrimp and lobster. As well as some sushi rolls. Everything was delicious and gave us leftovers for the lunch.

The place was clean and well staffed. Overall it was a great experience and I’d go back again.
