When the owner, Frank Lin, opens the doors each day, it is with the idea that a restaurant should combine friendly, gracious service with the proper atmosphere. The popularity of Little Tokyo has proved the value of this theory. Frank and his staff are proud that they offer one of the widest selections possible of Japanese cuisine and have one of the cleanest establishments in the city. At Little Tokyo the service is cordial and quick, and the decor is completely unique in every detail.

Vibrant eatery with a varied menu that includes sushi & hibachi plus wine, Japanese beers & sake.

My first time at this restaurant was tonight. My server Hallie was very pleasant and attentive and I would gladly have her again on a return visit. The salad and chicken dumplings were very good, as was the Udon soup with egg and shrimp. The hibachi steak, shrimp and chicken were excellent, with superb seasoning that will have me back within a week.

Excellent sushi paired with wonderful service. We truly enjoyed our experience and will certainly return next time we’re in the area.

Little Tokyo Restaurant is in Mt. Lebanon near Pittsburgh, PA. LTR has hibachi, udon and Ramen bowls, sushi and other options. The food was great as was the service. We had steak and shrimp hibachi, yummy roll (shrimp tempura inside with crab), udon bowl and a spicy tuna hand roll. The only complaint is how loud it was inside. At times it was difficult to hear the conversation at our own table. I would return if I’m in the area again.

Such a great neighborhood gem. Always busy, always good. Went there to celebrate my birthday with the family. We enjoyed everything!! Saki martinis are fabulous and the best, freshest, beautiful & tasty sushi around. Our waitress was kind and nice and overall did a great job. It was super busy (Sunday night) so the service was a tad bit slow; but nothing to keep us from returning.

This is my favorite go-to sushi restaurant—hands down. Both locations are amazing, and I’m fully convinced they can’t be beat. I’ve never had better sushi anywhere I’ve lived or traveled, and to top it off, the customer service is just as outstanding as the food.

All the rolls are consistently excellent, but the Anniversary Roll and black marlin are my personal favorites. You have to try the salad—the dressing is famously delicious. The osuimono soup is actually my favorite soup of all time. The broth is so clean, yet somehow packed with flavor—I don’t know how they do it. The shrimp balls are another must-try. Honestly, you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.

The food is clearly made with love, and even when it’s busy (which it often is), the service is always top-notch. Little Tokyo is simply the best.

We wanted to try a local comfort food since staying in the area.

We ordered the rock and roll, spicy tuna, philly, salmon roll, tonkatsu and udon. Sushi rolls were good. The tonkatsu was unfortunately dry.

They were very busy so initial wait time was about ~35 minutes. The service was very spotty. We ordered, got our food, and were pretty much ignored the entire time except one water refill towards the end.

Giving this place a 4 out of 5 stars because the service could have been better. I honestly think it was just my server who kinda sucked. Everyone else seemed great. I dined in by myself and was sat at the sushi bar which was nice but also a bit annoying cause all the servers would hover over me to get the food. But the sushi was great. I got a spicy tuna roll and the discovery roll.

A very nice Japanese restaurant for a quick lunch or a long dinner. The ginger(?) sauce on the salad was rather salty, but that’s a small price for the quality of the meat dishes. The waitresses are sweet, and the chefs cook the food right at the bar. You also get a towel wipe with some bleach (nothing harmful) before your meal. Good atmosphere. Good service, but didn’t try the sushi.

The service was fine, but the quality of the food was just average.
Was especially disappointed that their ramen was of similar quality to the kind I’ve made at home out of a package. Store bought ramen noodles If you ever have real Japanese noodles you can taste the difference.
