FIRST of all, I Have to say, the HOSPITALITY we received the night we first went to Little Thai Cafe was Outstanding! We took our elderly friend there to celebrate and since it is BYOB (we did not know), one of the gentlemen KINDLY went to get her some wine (and it was COLD that night!). The food is Excellent, Fresh, and seasoned very well but the Outstanding Feature of Little Thai is the Service! They do not have a lot of traffic in the restaurant (a lot of take out/to go orders) and I am glad they do have a place to sit and enjoy a meal inside. Thank you, Thank you for a Wonderful Experience and I assure you, we WILL Be Back!!

I ordered Papaya Salad and a Chicken Fried Rice from here while on a business trip and was satisfied. Unfortunately, I did not get a chance to visit the restaurant in person and was only able to order it via a food delivery service. I’m sure it would be even better in person.

The one criteria I am the most skeptical on when dining at Thai restaurants is how true they are to the Thai spice levels. This place does a really good job of accurately describing it. For those that don’t know, Thai spice is on a different level. If you normally order spicy at other restaurants, order a mild or medium at Thai restaurants. I ordered hot for my papaya salad and medium for my chicken fried rice. I was sweating throughout my meal. Great job on the spice levels! I wish the chicken fried rice was a bit more flavorful but it was still pretty good. Papaya salad had a great flavor to it.

I look forward to visiting this restaurant in person when I get the chance!

Updated Review ✨ Oh. My. God. If you think you already know what “good Thai food” tastes like, Little Thai Café will reset your standards. I came in just to grab a quick bite… and walked out completely obsessed. This is one of those rare, truly authentic mom-and-pop Thai spots where everything feels made with heart, skill, and pride. If you love discovering hidden gems in Houston, missing this place is honestly a mistake.

I recently came back and tried so many of their unique dishes, and the only word I can use is: amazing.
Fantastic. Delicious. Everything good about a real local Thai restaurant is right here.

The service is excellent—super attentive and very detail-oriented. You can really feel that they care about every single dish and every customer.

Now let’s talk about that coconut milk chicken soup.
It is absolutely out of this world. I’m not a kid anymore, but the moment I took my first sip, it felt so comforting and addictive at the same time. The coconut milk flavor is rich, intense, silky, and unbelievably smooth. So delicate, yet so deep in flavor. I could honestly drink the whole bowl by myself.

And as someone who makes it a personal mission to try fried chicken wings at every Asian restaurant I go to, I have to say—
their Thai-style fried chicken wings are on another level.

They have two different Thai fried versions, and oh my God…
If you’ve never tried authentic Thai fried wings before, this will be something completely new to you. Crispy, perfectly seasoned, and so uniquely Thai in flavor. This is exactly why I love this place.

What makes Little Thai Café special is not just that the food is good—
it’s the uniqueness of their dishes. You can tell these recipes are not copy-and-paste from other restaurants. They have their own identity, and it truly shows in every bite.

Little Thai Café – A Hidden Westchase Gem for Flavor, Portion, and Price. Little Thai Café in Westchase is one of the best-value Thai restaurants you can find in Houston. In today’s economy, it’s rare to see a restaurant that still cares about big portions, consistent flavors, and attentive service—but this little spot delivers every single time.

One thing I appreciate the most is how their take-out portions are just as generous as dining in. Many places shrink the portion when you order to go, but Little Thai Café keeps it honest and consistent, which already sets them apart.

My go-to order is the glass clear noodle with shrimp—medium spicy is perfect here. It has great heat without overpowering the dish, and the flavor is so balanced that you don’t need to add extra sauce. It’s flavorful straight out of the box.

Their Lao-style papaya salad is one of the few in Houston that really captures that traditional profile, with a touch of raw seafood for that bold, slightly briny kick. The taste is fantastic, though I do wish the portion were a bit bigger—that’s probably my only complaint.

The drunken noodle with beef is also consistently excellent. It has that familiar Chinese-meets-Thai comfort because of the flat noodles, and they execute it well every single time.

Don’t skip the mango sticky rice—simple, classic, and always good.
The restaurant itself is small, boutique-style, very clean, and perfect for small groups. They also sell interesting Thai snacks inside, which is a fun bonus.

Overall, if you’re looking for inexpensive, big-portion, consistently delicious Thai food, Little Thai Café is absolutely worth the visit. Great flavor, great value, and great people—highly recommended.

Pad Thai was really good. The combination rice was not as good as expected, but it was still good and well worth the money. I would definitely get food from here again. I picked up my food to go. It was nicely packed, I did have to ask for plasticware as it was not in the bag. Glad I ordered from here. Serving size is adequate.

I had such a great experience at this Thai restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious — full of flavor and cooked perfectly. The portion sizes were generous, and I definitely felt like I got my money’s worth.

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, especially when it came to ordering. They took the time to explain the dishes and made some great recommendations. It made the whole experience even better.

They also offer great lunch specials, which is a big plus if you’re looking for a good deal without sacrificing quality.

I’m attaching some pictures of our meals — everything looked just as good as it tasted! I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves Thai food or wants to try something new. I’ll definitely be back!

I had an incredible evening here. The food was spectacular, I hate I didn’t take a picture! I would like to commend the owners and the host. Excellent customer service, got to know a little about the history of Little Thai Cafe and the family behind the scenes. I can honestly say, this has become my new favorite Thai spot in Houston.

The Angel Wings were piping hot, crispy, and full of flavor. They paired perfectly with the sweet chili sauce accompaniment. My friend had the shrimp on the grill, and loved it! I think the standout for me would be the Triple Flavor Fish, whew, the tamarind sauce?! It was soooo good. Reminded me of sweet and sour, but better. Way better. And you can’t forget to order the Chicken Crispy Rolls, the handmade, house rolled rolls to be exact!

If you are in the Westchase and Houston/surrounding, Little Thai Cafe is a gem!

I’m glad I ordered Uber Eats today! I would definitely go every day if it was closer to my house. The papaya salad was exactly how I usually eat in Thailand.

It’s really cold and dreary here in Houston today and all I wanted was a great bowl of soup. I remembered this place since I’ve had their Tom Yum soup with shrimp before, and it was delish. I decided that I would try their Tom Yum Noodle soup with chicken this time. OMG! It was fabulous, and I can’t believe that I ate the whole thing. It was soooo good and will definitely get that again, but I may try their Drunken Noodles next time. They look really good also.

Great little neighbourhood Thai spot. Found it randomly one day and am very pleased. should have known if the restaurant dabbles as a grocery shop on the side, it’s going to be legit.

We ordered nuggets and fries for our child (also great that they have kid friendly dishes), tom yum soup, papaya salad and whole fried fish. The whole fried fish was crunchy and so good.

Bonus, they have a baby chair!

Stumbled upon this Thai café while searching on Google Maps, and it did not disappoint! We came in on a chilly night and were the only ones there. The host greeted us warmly and made us feel right at home. We ordered the Pad Thai and Curry Noodle (Khao Soi), both of which came out piping hot and absolutely delicious! They also provide all the condiments you need to customize the spice level to your liking. Lastly, the prices are very reasonable, especially considering recent inflation. Definitely check them out!
