Service and atmosphere:
Service at a register where you place order and pay was unfortunately unprofessional and not helpful. When we asked question about an item on the menu, the reply we got was “what?”. Not a great start.
The restaurant is big. It offers inside and outside seating. The tables inside were dirty and needed TLC.
First impression always counts and based on that I would not recommend this place.
Food and drinks:
Good selection of different dishes with chicken being the hero. The food we ordered was good. Chicken was tender and well seasoned. Corn on the cob and salad were equally good. This was a positive experience.
You can accompany your food with soft or alcoholic beverages.
Pricing:
$$ – the food was not overpriced.
Since it was my first time here I went with the flagship Half Bird , which was a very generous serving of protein , ranch style beans, a cilantro lime rice , grilled onions and jalapeño , and 4 corn tortillas ( flour available).
The chicken was smoked well with a delicious seasoned skin and was incredibly juicy. Rice was good but the beans stood out more. The corn tortillas were actually fairly large – larger than a standard street taco size corn tortilla.
There is a salsa bar with at least 5 options. I tried all of them and they were delicious . At one point I started sweating – it’s hard to tell which was the spicy one because I was mixing them all together haha.
Indoor of the restaurant was very clean , and what I could the kitchen looked well maintained as well. There is also outdoor seating.
The prices I thought were very reasonable given the area the location is ( a little on the higher end , but still family friendly ).
Parking can be found on street in marked spots , but it looked there was a larger lot behind the establishment.
All in all I’d definitely visit here again on my next business trip to H-Town, and I look forward to trying other menu items.
Their patio is really nice and even if you sit inside you get an outside feel with the floor to ceiling windows. Staff is very friendly and while you can get most everything yourself they offer to bring refills and salsas to you also.
I especially like that they have the walk up window for pick ups. Makes it so easy to grab and go.
Only downside is that they use soybean oil in their fried products (for the fries and their corn tortillas). Wouldn’t recommend if you’re looking for a seed oil-free place to eat at. I’m not sure if they got flour tortillas as an option, but everything else was smoked in wood. Nice!

Right away, we noticed how clean and spacious the restaurant was. The customer service was outstanding—the staff walked us through the ordering process, we paid, sat down, and they brought out our food promptly. The presentation was great, and everything looked amazing.
One of the highlights of our visit was the incredible hospitality. After we sat down, they even offered us some extra chips and dip for free, which was such a nice touch. The entire staff was friendly, and they even made sure to clean up quickly after guests left, keeping the space tidy.
As for the food—everything was delicious, but the huevos rancheros were the standout for me!
Overall, fantastic service, great food, and a welcoming atmosphere. We’ll definitely be coming back!
