Used to love this place until I found out their best bartender, Helen isn’t there anymore. 5 years ago my husband and I found this little establishment. We received the warmest welcome from the sweetest bartender we’ve ever had. We are retired and have visited MANY bars in our time Helen was so patient, conversational, and fun. We have monthly appointments down the road and we made a point to return the following month and she was working again. She remember our names and drinks. And again entertained us with a great time, like we were at her home. We returned every month to see her.
There was a couple times over the years she wasn’t there and it was not warm and welcoming. It actually felt very uncomfortable. Jen was loud and rude and never around. And we felt like we were a bother if we needed something.
Recently we learned from Tyler, who has ZERO personality or NO care for anyone there, that Helen was let go and would not give any further information or answer any questions.
Sadly we won’t return and are heartbroken this business lost such a great employee and we lost a friend. Hopefully whoever runs this place knows they lost a gem. It was obvious everyone patron really enjoyed visiting with Helen and being in her company.

Nice little bar. Had good service. Was not told about any food options.

If you look up the definition of a dive bar the “Little Red School House” will show up in the definition. Limited selection of higher end drinks. All of that being said the service was friendly and the prices were low. FYI, even though their sign advertises the best burgers… they don’t serve burgers.

This place is a hidden gem in the Fox Valley area. A place where it feels like family as soon as you walk in. Great service / very clean/ lots of fun and laughs. Drinks were perfect by Tony ( the bartender.) Tony made sure everyone felt at home. The entire experience honesty felt as if we had known everyone forever. Thank you Tony!
If you are ever in the Aurora/ Batavia / North Aurora area and looking for a great place to have a drink, this is the place. We will definitely be back to this hidden treasure in North Aurora. If I could I would give them 6 stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I remember this place from the 60’s. at that time it was I believe family owned and I want to say their name was Diveley but not 100 %sure. What I do know was back then it was one of the first places to get pizza that was pretty good{or so I remember}. Was always a nice place.

Our bartender Yami was the best! We were in from out of town for the weekend & she made great dinks and made my shot that I drink perfectly! When we are back this way again we will definitely stop by again!!

I love this place. Small, hole-in-the-wall with some of the best bartenders around. Good prices.

Best little dive bar around. Don’t let the old sign fool you, they don’t serve burgers or pizza anymore. They don’t have draft beers either. They do have friendly regulars, an awesome patio and free pool Thursdays!

I really like this bar. I went there for the first time and I was really surprised by the energy. All positive! The people were great. The service was great. And I went on karaoke night and you better believe it was great too. I’ll definitely be back and despite being a 20 mile trip I’ll probably be making it my new spot
