I am deeply disappointed to share that I will no longer be patronizing Little Pub in Old Saybrook. During my last visit, I ordered a sandwich specifically from the gluten-free menu, and because it tasted delicious, I felt the need to confirm the brand of bread being used, even though it was delivered to me as GF, with the GF pick in it. To my absolute horror, it was revealed that a “miscommunication” had occurred between the waitress and the kitchen staff—the gluten-free requirement was “noted” but didn’t specify gf bread on the order ticket. As a result, I was badly glutened. Because of this serious lapse in safety protocols, I have officially crossed them off my list of favorites and will not be returning.

I have been here multiple times, and with a little bit of improvement this place could be 5/5. The food is good, but often feels bland. The drinks on the other hand are fantastic. Great atmosphere and the prices are fair.

Great food that’s consistent. Large portions & fair prices. Awesome relaxed atmosphere with friendly staff. We all ordered the Beef Steak Tips which were awesome! We all agreed that the onions could’ve been sautéed alittle more, but that’s a personal choice! Next time will ask for that!

I’ve been a few times with my kids and we always feel welcome. It’s a large place with high ceilings so it can get kind of loud. The food is good and the children’s selection is pretty large. The drink selection is a large variety but when you check out there’s a spot for suggestions, which i really loved because I was able to request one of my favorites that they currently didn’t carry.
In the summer you can check out the goats and chickens in the back.

Some of my family were in town visiting New England. We had them meet us at this restaurant. There was eight of us and we all drove an almost an hour and let me tell you it was a perfect evening. The staff was on point. Savannah was our waitress ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The food was incredible. The atmosphere was perfect to talk and catch up. It was comfortable and very accommodating. My (gluten free) mother was handed her own GF menu, which was excellent.
After dinner, we went into the parking lot and in the back of the property there are goats chickens and beehives. They sell fresh honey and candles and the kids had a blast checking out the baby goats and feeding the chickens feed from the coin operated dispensers. We got some great pictures at the sunset as the string lights they have everywhere began turning on.
Also to note- my 94-year-old grandmother raved about their chili, my son loved the meatloaf grilled cheese and I loved the ahi-tuna avocado burrito. And their Mac and cheese options are out of control. Overall it was a really special time in a “can’t wait to go back” restaurant.

We stumbled across this wonderful pub when their sign outside said “Open Mondays”. We went for happy hour. The place filled up quickly around dinner time. Happy Hour deals were worth taking advantage of. The large pretzel with cheese dipping sauce was the best pretzel/cheese we’ve ever had. Draft beer was very good. Out back in the parking lot are some caged, well cared for, goats that were so funny, looking for your attention. You are allowed to visit them.: ) The restaurant and bathrooms were very clean. Will definitely not be the last time we visit. Tip: Ask for the happy hour specials. We were given regular menus upon seating. Our server brought us a different menu when we specifically asked about happy hour pricing. The same items on the regular menu were a few dollars cheaper on the HH menu. Order that pretzel!

Great food! Super attentive service. Highly recommend. Outstanding overall. Pickle wings were a total surprise and top notch. Two huge recommendations: the tuna tacos and the little pub salad. The tuna tacos are like nothing I have had before and knocked my socks off. The Lil Pub Salad was perfectly put together and the goat cheese was out of this world. Must visit location if you are in the area!

If you go here, try to get Monique! She literally is the best waitress. Knows exactly what we want and if she gets to know you, she even remembers your drink order. We absolutely love to come and get her as a waitress! We know we will have a fantastic night!

Only thing is, we came for dinner and saw there latest Christmas postcard 2024 has Santa and his evil Twin Krampus which looks like the devil in a sleigh. Ummm not cool at all. Honestly thats messed up. If you didnt know the story it looks like Santa and the devil. It saddened me so much especially for Jesus birth. Other than that have really enjoyed this place.

My husband and I eloped back in February but wanted to have our reception at Little Pub because it has played such a big role in our relationship! Our first date (followed by countless other dates) and our engagement was at Little Pub! So having our reception here was a no brainer! We had such a flawless line of communication with Tony to set up the entire reception. He helped organize and plan our reception of 135 people!! I could not have imagined this special day to go any smoother than it did!! Tony was so kind and accommodating the whole time but was an absolute ROCKSTAR the day of! We still have family and friends raving about Tony!! The staff was so kind, respectful and attentive. The food (as always) was phenomenal! And the atmosphere was perfect!! We are so incredibly happy and grateful that we got to have our reception at Little Pub and that it went so much better than we could have dreamed!
