Had a little chat afterwards, partially in my disappointingly rusty Spanish, which was just as delightful. And I got a dessert empanada on the house – outstanding!
If you’re in the Galleria area, stop in and try this place. We need to keep places like this in existence, because they make the world a little better with every meal.
While we were there, a woman asked if we could buy her a coffee. As a family, we believe deeply in giving, so we immediately said yes. When my husband went inside to let the owner know, the owner didn’t hesitate—he stepped in and told us that this time, it was on him.
That simple yet powerful gesture spoke volumes. This place is more than just a business; it’s built on kindness and heart. God is GREAT! Definitely recommend Little Patagonia Empanadas & Cafe!
The Empanadas are amazing, and there is an ample variety of flavors and combinations, sure to please a wide range of tastes.
The service is fast and friendly; the place is clean, and there is plenty of parking available. What else can you ask for?
Whether you are craving empanadas or have never tried them before, you should stop by Little Patagonia and give them a try; I’m confident you won’t regret it.
Now I’m hungry just from writing this review…
The little cafe has a very relaxing vibe with alcohol if you want to hang out with friends. The cashier made an oopsie giving me the wrong empanadas. She apologized giving me the proper empanadas. That too me is what makes great customer service as sometimes things just happen
She not only had an attitude that reflected her distaste to be working where she’s at on a Sunday night, but she kept playing with here phone, and would never swing by and check if we wanted or needed something else.
The only time she would acknowledge us, was to remind us that she was about to close, asking us how much longer would we be.
She even tried to make our order to go, when we specifically told her we wanted to eat at the restaurant.
We arrived over 30 minutes before closing, and I was shocked with her unprofessionalism… and her barely understandable English, for someone that was left to manage a restaurant… She made our experience regrettable.
Far and away from the experience we had a week ago on Saturday night. The lady with the short hair, in charge that Saturday night a week ago, was warm, welcoming, kind and professional.
…we had just returned from Mexico, and were starving and even though we got to Little Patagonia about ten minutes before closing time, when she was already getting ready to rap up for the night, she welcomed us in, and stayed over an hour more, so that me and my children could eat something there. Never rushing us, nor having anything but a positive attitude. May be she’s the owner, or something, because, it is rare to find folks that would be so professional, after hours, and not being part of ownership. ….regardless, she was great and we look forward to comeback because of her. -I meant to leave a five star review, but I forgot.
Sunday’s lady, however… should either be retrained, or find a job she actually likes, and stop being so miserable, that it shows.
