I was looking for a good spot to take my child, my little one because he’s homeschooled, so we wanted to start having brunch more often together to talk and communicate, so I found this spot and I fell in love with it!!! I’ve been there already twice and the menu is so big, you have so many things to chose from! and in the back of the place they have a mini arcade, so while the kids are waiting for the food or afterwards they can go and play. My son loves the Jurassic Park game which they have, so it is an amazing spot to hang with him. I had the spinach quesadilla and woow! It is really good!

I hate to call little Matt’s underrated but Im gonna have to do it. Me and my wife have traveled to about 75% of the states so far with our 2 year old and I can firmly state that this is place sits on the Top 5 of the best restaurants we’ve visited on our travels. Kid friendly, food, atmosphere, and service is amazing. We drove 45 mins out of our way to visit this place and it didnt disappoint. Went on a Monday and it wasn’t busy at all. Ohhhhh and FYI . The margaritas are absolutely amazing and free with a meal order. Like who does that? Crazy ,amazing , good stuff happening at this place.

It’s a really great place to visit. The food comes out hot and quick. I had a quesadilla, and my son enjoyed a pizza and fries. Fries were absolutely amazing. I did not inquire about the complimentary adult beverage. I enjoyed sitting outside in the backyard area and enjoyed great customer service. Parking was a hit or miss.

This place is awesome! It was our first time there. We wanted to grab some lunch before we headed back to San Antonio. So glad we ended up at Little Matt’s. People are very friendly and make you feel welcome. I think it was the owner who helped us with our order. She was so kind and made us feel welcome. Food was so delicious and fresh. Next time we are in Houston we are definitely coming back with the family. Thank you Little Matt’s for an amazing lunch.

I visited Little Matt’s on a Saturday night with my wife and our 19-month-old toddler, curious to see why it was named #1 Kid-Friendly Restaurant in the Nation by Yelp for 2025.

The restaurant’s story is touching. Founded by Bill and Cindy Lillard in memory of their son, Bobby, proceeds benefit Texas Children’s Hospital and other local organizations.

When we arrived, the restaurant was packed with families and kids of all ages. There’s a small outdoor patio with four tables, a back patio with more seating, and inside you order everything at the counter before they bring it to your table. The staff, mostly younger workers, were friendly and playful with my son. Entertainment options are everywhere. There’s a mini arcade room, iPad stations, a candy counter, and a photo booth. If you have young toddlers, they have high chairs available as well.

[KIDS MENU]

+Hamburger for $7.95 – Served with fruit and fries. My son enjoyed it all, and the fruit was grapes. – 5/5

[SALADS]

+Caesar Salad for $11.95 – Very basic, with ranch dressing provided on the side. I would skip this. – 2/5

[BURGERS AND SANDWICHES]

+Little Matt’s Cheeseburger for $11.95 – Cooked medium with American cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, and onion on a toasted bun, served with seasoned fries. A decent burger, but not particularly memorable. – 3.5/5

Service was friendly and quick, and the whole place felt like a neighborhood hangout where families spend hours.

Overall, Little Matt’s is about the atmosphere and community more than the food. If you’re local, this is the kind of spot your kids will grow up with and never forget. If you’re coming from further away, it’s worth experiencing once for the family-friendly vibe and cause, but the food for adults is just okay.

If I could give this place 6 stars I would. Wonderful costumer service, the food was delicious and my daughter got a free icee lol. Food came out quickly, got the Californian chicken club and a burger for my daughter. Very family oriented, drove from Spring to explore and this was well worth it. Will definitely be back.

Do you ever feel like God just puts you in places where you needed to see HIM? I had a major spine surgery two weeks ago due to a rare genetic condition EDS (Ehlers-Danilos-Syndrome). Something just called me to this place. It was honestly out of way to our hotel, but I told my husband we needed to go… I just had a good feeling. ‍♀️ The food was so good! We both got the kids meal cheese burgers, because we didn’t have a big appetite. The portion of food was MORE THAN ENOUGH! The cheese burgers were DELICIOUS!! The people that worked there were so sweet! I couldn’t help but cry as I started reading what this restaurant represented! The story behind this restaurant is so incredibly inspirational! Thank you so much for everything that you do for the community, the children, and for strangers who came from Georgia! We love you guys!

I have never been, so I was pretty impressed with the salad choices and burger options. My friend got the tortilla soup, and I got the Asian Chicken Salad. The chicken was a bit dry, I had to ask for dressing, they forgot to bring it, it needed more ingredients, maybe cilantro, it had wonton straps, grilled chicken, bean Sprouts and cabbage. I would like to try some comfort food like Mac n’cheese or a burger next time. Went on a weekday at lunch, so no kids getting off practice, etc. They did have an Icee machine and candy at counter, with ice cream treats in a freezer. Nice touch.

Little Matt’s is a great place to take kids. They have all the staples for kids to eat and a wide range of options for adults. The tuna salad was pretty good with a sweet and sour dressing. The fried pickles and corndogs were good. The arcade was a lot of fun but the claw machines packing could use some work- claw can’t reach the balls or the stuffed animals were packed too tight or the bouncy ball machine wouldn’t drop the ball after you get it. Overall a great place to take the kids!
