This was our fourth time dining here and it was incredible. Being raised in an Italian family in New York with a grandmother born in Italy, this is the closest food to true authentic Italian anywhere in Hawaii. We live on island, and this place has quickly become our top favorite date night restaurant. The pasta is fresh, homemade and flavorful. The Mediterranean salad is so delicious, and the desserts are amazing. The outdoor dining is quaint, and romantic on a side street off of the noise of kalakaua. The service is friendly, and the prices are comparable/lower than restaurants in the area with much less quality food. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Dined at Little Italy Hawaii in Waikiki and had mixed feelings overall. Location is great—right off the main strip, close to a parking garage if things get busy downtown.
They offer indoor and outdoor dining with plenty of tables, plus bar seating. The dining room has a cool, unique vibe with a classic Ferrari in beautiful red parked right inside (think Magnum P.I. style)—definitely stands out. Some parts of the decor could use a refresh, but it’s totally fine and adds character.
Keep in mind, I’ve had a lot of real Italian food—grew up with my Nonna from Sicily, lived near Little Italy in NYC, and spent time in Italy—so expectations are high for anything claiming authenticity.
Service was confusing from the start, even with only 4-5 customers at a time. We got sat, waitress asked for drinks right away. Asked for a drink menu and she said they don’t have one because it changes so often they’ve ‘given up.’ Ended up with two sodas brought out as cans with glasses of ice—we poured ourselves. Then we ordered an appetizer, another waitress came by and took our full order again, and the first one circled back later. Just felt disjointed and weird.
Noticed the menu online doesn’t match what’s in the restaurant either.
The staff wore simple black shirts and pants, and the owner was walking around the dining room in sneakers, shorts with a patch falling off, and a t-shirt. It gave more of a casual Greek diner vibe than an Italian trattoria, which added to the overall mismatched feel.
Food took about 30 minutes, which was okay. My wife got the spinach ravioli—okay, but the ‘creamy sauce’ was thin and not as rich as expected. I went with chicken parm and was underwhelmed: the cutlet seemed reheated, bottom soggy with zero crisp, chicken chewy. Fresh mozzarella on top was broiled nicely though. Spaghetti was al dente, but the sauce was bland, lacking any bold flavor or depth. Dishes overall felt plain—no real garnishes, herbs, or fresh elements. For the prices (fine-dining level), it should have been more elevated—this felt far from a true trattoria experience.
When the check came, there was a handwritten note offering a cash price with an $8 savings. That’s fine and all, but it came off pretty unprofessional—maybe just me, but it felt a little shady. Would’ve been cleaner to have the cash discount option printed right on the receipt instead of scribbled by hand.
The Ferrari is a fun gimmick and the spot has potential with its location, but the execution didn’t live up to the hype for me. Curious to see if the owner chimes in—I’ve heard responses can get sarcastic or combative on reviews here.

I had bee here several times over the past few years. The food is always really good. The service is good too. They did seem to raise pricing significantly since the last time I visited, but that seems to be current situation everywhere. I had the house special pasta that night and it was really good. My coworker had the lam chops that were excellent. The garlic bread was $12 for a quarter of a baguette which seemed over priced to us even with price increases, but still tasted good. Overall, it is a nice place to have a real Italian meal in Waikīkī.

Horrible. Stopped on weekday nite. SERVICE was lousy. Waited an hour and half for Spaghetti, meatballs with lite sauce, never came. A waiter passing by our table said my dinner was in the “other” kitchen. Others ordered pizza, came within an hour. Original waitress never came back to the table, no refills, no update on food. Owner came by said dinner was in other kitchen. When meal was canceled, he screamed at towards kitchen and yelled at me. We had to “ask” to take the spaghetti meal off bill after waiting an hour and a half for a bowl of spaghetti and meatball. We “did” pay for the pizza’s and soda’s.

This Italian restaurant leaves a mixed impression. The interior is quite outdated and could definitely use some renovation. Cleanliness is also not at the level one would hope for. The staff seems rather confused and service is slow, which affects the overall dining experience.

That said, the food is genuinely delicious – full of flavor and clearly made with care. It’s clear that the owner aimed to create an authentic Italian atmosphere, but unfortunately, the execution misses the mark.

If you can overlook the setting and service, the food itself is well worth trying.

Love the location, not next to a busy road, and the decoration/atmosphere also very nice.

Great food arrived fast, wine was very good and the service also great! Happy to come back again!

Bruschetta soaked completely through the baguette and had a fermented effect (seemed carbonated). Lasagna was edible and came out hot. The pizza truly tasted like Chef Boyardee made it, very nostalgic for sure.

Pretty bad. Don’t waste time or money. Once sat and ordered food, never was checked on. Calamari seemed like frozen calamari deep fried, seafood pasta has 2 of each seafood option. If I could give negative stars I would.

Cozy italian eatery on Kuhio Ave. in the middle of Waikiki. It is easy to miss until you see inside where there’s an older model of a Ferrari speedster smack in the middle of the restaurant. We were a party of five there for a birthday dinner. The waiter served us immediately and was quite attentive. We had a variety of pasta dishes that were decent. It’s not a scratch kitchen and pasta could be a lot more fresh but it was okay enough for us to finish our plates and order dessert. If you’re super hungry and stuck in Waikiki, sure. I don’t know that I would come here again, especially since the tiramisu is not homemade. :/

Its been 2.5 weeks and I’m still craving their Shrimp pesto pizza! Absolutely delicious. The flavors were simple, bright and made with quality ingredients. We went twice on our short stay in Waikiki because it was so good. The 2nd time we arrived a bit late not knowing that they were about to close and they still served us
Buenisimo. I can’t wait to go back.
