So disappointing. You wait 25 mins for take out and they serve you old dried up jerk wings! The sauce didn’t help and the flavor. The patties were burnt. Also had hardly no filling. The curry chicken also dry & has no flavor! There’s no way these are Jamaicans cooking! None of this is Jamaican food! Even the plantains were burnt too! This should be called the no flavor kitchen!!! I really wish I could get my money back!

I want to preface this with, every time I went here I had nothing but good experience. Food is always great customer service is always good. But I wanted to share a very annoying yet funny interaction. I just got back into town, and got hungry so I stopped by here. I took a look at the menu and I noticed that they had red snapper. So I walk up the counter and ask the young lady, how fresh is your red snapper… I feel like that was a reasonable ask, if you guys are going to charge $25 for the entree, I am going to want to know how fresh it is. But apparently it was a unusual question . The young lady had no idea what I was asking, I eventually said you know what don’t worry about it let me just get blah blah. I paid, got my ticket and stepped out. As I stepped out I heard her scream in the back asking “he wanted to know how fresh the fish is” now I’m not and idiot, I obviously know that nobody is going go out in the Atlantic and Hual in the catch of the day. I clearly wasn’t asking that. However I assume that’s what they thought I meant. Anyways, I walked back in to get my food. It was ready in record time, which was dope. As I grab my food, bless her beautiful heart, she tells me “I was told it was caught this morning”. I didn’t quite know how to react. I was annoyed but I wanted to laugh so bad. I’m still trying to process that interaction altogether. As I was driving home, I did die a little bit laughing. Anyways my order was good can’t complain. Normally don’t leave reviews but I have to share it somewhere 8/10 might come back. Only because they probably think I’m a weirdo.

First off i tried them off of uber eats because my usual place was closed so i can speak for in actual in person service. The food was OKAY. But i do want to offer some constructive criticism. For the price i paid for the brown stew chocolate i should’ve gotten more than two pieces of chicken. Also the food is very spicy. Its too spicy and you cannot enjoy the food. I wasted $ buying a whole side of mac and cheese for my toddler because it was too spicy for her to eat. Tone down the spicy and give equal portions and i think they will be good to go

I can’t recommend this place enough! The jerk chicken was incredible seasoned just right with the perfect kick of spice. The quality really stood out. Brenda was very helpful at the front when ordering! I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending to everyone.

$27 for oxtails and I only got 4? A huge amount of rice and mixed veggies. Besides the lack of oxtail that unfortunately had no flavor, the mac and cheese was extremely spicy. It didn’t even take like Mac and cheese. Just unbearable spicy pasta.

I had eaten at little island kitchen when they first opened their brick and mortar location in Montgomery Village. I actually stood in line for their food during their grand opening a couple of years ago. At that time the food was acceptable. I recently ordered from there through Uber eats and unfortunately, the food is gross now. I ordered the jerk wing platter with eight wings, cabbage, and mac & cheese. I also ordered the pineapple ginger juice and a strawberry shortcake brownie, which ended up being a strawberry shortcake cookie. one star for the amount of food that you get other than that zero stars. the cabbage and mac & cheese had absolutely no flavor. The only quality of both of those side dishes were the fact that they were spicy. The mac & cheese was cheesy, but it was no flavor. bland . the jerk chicken… no flavor and for some reason was in a puddle of sauce that also had no flavor. You are encouraged to purchase the jerk ranch to go with the wings for a dollar that couldn’t even save it. The pineapple ginger juice… i’m not really sure how to describe it. It tasted like pineapple juice with a hint of ginger, but it definitely didn’t taste like it was pressed juice like maybe it was a powder mixture. I don’t know like I guess I would describe it as pineapple ginger Kool-Aid. there was no kick from the ginger and the pineapple was just watered down. I didn’t eat the strawberry cookie. I did call the restaurant to suggest to them to change their menu on Uber eats regarding the brownie, but I hadn’t eaten the food yet before I called. If I had, I would’ve complained about the food cause goodness gracious… smh.

The place is beautiful and the young lady was very pleasant on the phone and in person. My only qualm is that the food is too spicy. I can’t taste the food after the first bite. The presentation is great and I’d try again for different dishes.

I went to this location the other day and I was greeted by a wonderful lady by the name of Brenda. Her service was excellent, I was immediately greeted with a smile, her hospitality made me feel warm! I ordered the alfredo pasta and mac n cheese and it was amazing! I will definitely be returning, please ask for Brenda!
