We love Little India Express, it’s a gem within Freight House Square and a must for good authentic Indian comfort food. Their whole Tandoori Chicken is my favorite and you can’t go wrong with the rest of their menu.
The atmosphere at Freight House Square is a hit or miss, due to the sceudo industrial / scarcely populated area and building conditions (as are most historical buildings). None are reasons to deter folks from visiting, just be mindful of situational awareness.

I ordered delivery so I cannot comment on atmosphere, but the food was very good. It was hot and well packaged and arrived pretty close to the estimated time. Butter chicken was the best but the Mattar Paneer and Biaghan (sp?) Bartha were also very good. The mango lassi was awesome. It was needed because it was pretty spicy. Delicious though. Garlic naan was also a good side.

I’m 7 and a half months pregnant and have been craving Palak Paneer so bad! I chose the lowest spice level this time to try it out and am going to try the next level up next time! The large portion is going to give me at least two meals and is exactly what the baby wanted! The Veggie Samosa’s are super flavorful, crispy on the outside and warm on the inside complimented perfectly by the sauce. I washed it all down with a Masala Chai which was just sweet enough with balanced spices. A perfect meal truly, I can’t wait to eat my leftovers!

Not the restaurants fault, but the mall center does get hot and stuffy inside. I had a delicious curry specialty with a side of regular naan. The total was about $22 with tip. This includes a LARGE amount of rice, a dressed salad, 16 oz of curry, and some naan. I couldn’t eat it all, so I happily have leftovers. I’d definitely come back here if I was in the area.

I came from out of state and stopped by before a concert at the Tacoma dome and it was the best decision I’ve ever made! Very quick service and they bring the food your table! This was surprising because it’s located in a food court. I had the chicken tikka masala and a garlic naan. I still dream about the naan! It was delicious! Would definitely stop by again if I get the chance to!

Surprised with this little place. Nice little seating. Employees were very kind and explained the menu. Food was very delicious and had big portions!
