Right next door to the Post Office in Home, Kansas. One block south of I-36. Can’t really miss it as the town of Home isn’t very big. Little Hap’s Bar and Grill was pretty packed when I was there on a Wednesday evening. Set amidst some industrial trucking and jobsite looking buildings. Very unobtrusive. Lively atmosphere. Patrons all seemed to be enjoying themselves. Full bar and kitchen available. Food is really good . Easy to pass by on the highway, but that would be a mistake. Stop in and relax for a bit. “There’s no place like home…”

Simple and straightforward food. I had French toast breakfast. Only feedback is that I wish they served real maple syrup instead of the synthetic kind from Walmart sweetened with corn syrup.

Passing threw town and found this hidden gem . Got a bacon cheeseburger and onion rings. Sat in the parking lot and chowed down. Took one bite and was blown away by how good it was. Plenty of vehicle and semi-truck parking. Called the order in,15 minutes ahead. It was sitting there hot and ready to go. Thank you for the great meal.

Cute little place in middle of………… Gonna leave that up to your imagination. Huge portions hot fresh food. Great service. Now for the funny part, I travel nurse in area for a job until January. So here I was hungry stopped in. As soon as I stepped foot inside the place it went dead silent. It was busy and a lot of the tables were full. Silent like everyone held their breaths even not a sound. I sat down as every eye in the place was on me. After I was sitting for a bit the young waitress took my order and some conversations could be heard resuming. There were 4 elderly folks at a table who openly stared at me for the 47 min I was in the place though. And they mother in the booth next to mine kept looking over her shoulder. Ok so if anything goes wrong in this town for the next decade I am 100%sure they are going to blame it on me. I’ve even got a picture of the older lady staring at me and the husband looking away as I took their picture.
