Walked in without thinking much—just had that laid-back Down Under vibe you sometimes stumble across. Didn’t know if it was intentional or not, but this effortlessly stylish artist, who I thought was just another customer sitting by the counter, turned around with the chillest expression and voice… and took my coffee order. It looked like the building is his mansion, a beautiful lounge he had!
It honestly felt like I had been casually invited into an artist’s home—for the price of a cup of coffee.
And more than anything, this place introduced me to the insane playlist behind the bar (Introduced to The Halluci Nation. Thanks to Shazam) Life-changing. Places like this? I almost don’t want anyone to know about them.
Ambience: 10/10
BGM: 10/10
Oxygen: 10/10
Coffee: 8/10
Overall (Art): 100/10
But the real showstopper might be the free live music on Sunday mornings featuring a talented local band. Did I mention the coffee itself is delicious? It truly excels, but the cafe experience goes far beyond that first sip.
Finally, a refreshing detail – there’s no pressure to tip when you grab a coffee to go. The friendly owners cultivate a welcoming atmosphere, a far cry from the sterile vibes of some larger chains.
Overall, this cafe is a delightful discovery!**
The bad: Coffee was mediocre – for here latte cups are very small, half the size of a normal latte, and do not have handles so are too hot to hold. Staff was not very friendly or on top of things, we had to repeatedly remind them in order to check out. They were completely out of pastries and had a very limited coffee menu. The vintage clothing selection is poor and was half lingerie and tshirts. If you want great coffee, go to Philz, then stop here to grab a succulent on the way home.
