A review of 99¢ Pizza around the corner on Houston, that this is the best of the cheap pizza offerings in the area, so I had to test that out. Specifically, they said the sauce was actually good and there was enough of it on the slice. I can confirm that the sauce is indeed good, if a simple and a bit raw tasting. There was not very much of it, but it was more than at 99¢. Bigger slice too, with pretty solid cheese. I’m starting to see the spectrum of pizza quality in this city, so we’ll see how I feel after visiting some other places.

What a great guy. First time coming here had to defend him at 2am against a drunk, he offered to comp my meal but i insisted on paying anyway, so kind, pizza is good, price is consistent and worthy of repeat business. He works hard. And does a great job. Will come back again and again. Support Little Gio’s pizza

Got a quick bite for pizza from here and it wasn’t bad! Good service and clean spot. Has a small variety of pizza’s with both a thin crust or a square slice.

I have been trying different slices of pizza around the Lower East Side in hopes of finding a slice that is good and under $4 per slice. Not even great, just good. It has proved much harder than you might think.

Even if a slice blows me away, it’s like north of $5 and that just goes against the whole ethos of pizza by the slice, at least to me. A great slice of pizza has almost become a special occasion only for me, which is criminal.

As I walked into Little Gio’s, the first thing I noticed was a $3 slice, $3.50 with a topping. The 2nd thing I noticed was a picture of the owner(?) with a So Far Gone era Drake in the establishment. Respect.

The respect was immediately chin checked when they said it was a $5 minimum on a card after I ordered 1 slice of cheese, but much to Gio’s chagrin, I had cash on me…….They forsure preferred that ahaha I just wanted to work “chagrin” into this review.

I was lowkey pissed at the $5 card minimum, but this slice of pizza was actually EXACTLY what I was looking for. A thin crispy crust on the bottom but not burnt, with hangtime when you pick it up, and a great cheese to sauce ratio. My new goto spot for a quick, cheap slice.

It would be interesting to do a full analysis of the pizza by the slice market pricing over the past 10 years. I’m sure someones done it though. I feel like everything has been done at this point…..

I have seen multiple other reviews across Google and Yelp say that they have seen a tip added on their credit card statement that they did not give…. All I’m saying is I could see it…….

The margherita slice had a lot of seasoning (especially thyme) which I loved, but there was not a lot of sauce and it ended up tasting like a saltine. Two dudes also got into a fist fight while I was there

The slices were delicious and even though this place is a hole in the wall the pizza was so good. It was priced like a normal nyc slice so not too expensive. But it was so good. We just wanted a quick bite before going out and this was perfect. Would recommend for something fast and on the go.

Small pizza shop on 1st avenue.
the good:
– the crust which is quite important was done well.
– the pepperoni slice was tasty and ample cheese and pepperoni.
– seemed fresh.
the bad:
– nothing major, but I felt it could have used slightly more sauce.
– again, nothing major: but the person who helped us seemed not happy, not that he was rude or anything, but he just didn’t seem friendly, but nothing major.

I had a nice slice at Little Gio’s on a rainy night in the LES. The Margherita was on point, service was good, and the process was quick.
