I thought the place was delightful. Small, but a lot of good restaurants are small. “Grandpa” with many years experience was doing the cooking. Grandson, being the host was also our “maitre d.” Good job guys! Getting there at 6:00 guaranteed us a seat. It was crowded by the time we left around 7:00. We liked it right next to our hotel for walking distance.

Loved the crispy pork! The mixed chicken bones were ok – the chili sauce doesn’t taste great. Other dishes were fine – maybe they can use a bit more salt.

I was excited about trying a new Asian restaurant. The venue is pretty clean, and the dishes were a decent size. However the food all lacked flavor and the crispy pork was so over fried it tasted like chewing flavoured cardboard.

I’m torn on the food as I had one alright dish and one very good dish. The spicy shrimp dish (reccomend) was very crispy and not too spicy. The fried udon noodles with beef wasn’t very flavorful but was a large portion. Ordering is done all through an app. The place is small and doesn’t have much to offer for visual appeal.

This place in U District is a gem. Very quick service and the food was very unique compared to other Chinese cuisine in the area. Would highly recommend the mushrooms with vinegar, twice cooked pork slices, and eggplant with potato.

Wonderful restaurant! Very good food and attentive staff. Location off the Ave a bit with some parking available. Little Duck is a Big Deal!

Food is quite decent and generous portions for the price.
Definitely a plus they have parking here.
Service wasn’t bad in the usual sense, but the guy working the counter seemed like he was maybe family filling in or something, it just seemed like he never worked at a restaurant before.

This place is a hidden gem for authentic Northeastern Chinese cuisine! The flavors are bold, the portions are generous, and everything tastes homemade. The dumplings are perfectly juicy, guo bao rou is a must try! The staff is friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. If you’re craving real Dongbei flavors, this is the spot. Highly recommend!

Taste like home made Dong Bei Cai – cuisine from Northeastern China. Nothing fancy just comforting if you are from the region and miss the taste.
Recommend the braised pork bones and stir-fried tofu skin.
