Reviews
From the very first moment, the customer service stood out. Without even asking much, the staff immediately helped me find a place to charge my phone and even lent me a charger. Brownie points right there.
Since my mum and I were already there (and feeling a little tingle in the stomach, though not starving), we decided to sit down for a light bite while the phone charged. We ordered samosa chaat and two cups of chai ($7.99 & $3.99 e.c) The prices were very reasonable, especially considering it’s right in the heart of downtown. The street itself may look a bit edgy or rough, but if you give this place a chance, you’ll be pleasantly surprised.
After tasting the samosa chaat, we couldn’t resist ordering their aloo paratha as well. It was nicely cooked, soft, and comforting. The only small thing I wished for was a side of pickle or chutney, which would have made it even better.
We also picked up rasmalai as a takeaway, and it was a perfect sweet ending to the experience.
It’s an Indo-Nepali restaurant, which I only realized after looking at the menu—and that was a nice surprise. The flavors were really good, the chaat was tasty, and the wait time wasn’t long at all. The space itself is beautifully decorated—minimalistic yet classy. It’s the kind of place where you could easily spend 2–3 hours sipping tea, reading a book, or having a good, relaxed conversation with friends.
Another thing worth mentioning: the restrooms were super clean, and even the seating area was being regularly cleaned, which really adds to the overall comfort and hygiene of the place.
The customer service remained fabulous from start to finish. Gopal, who helped us, was exceptional—attentive, kind, and genuinely welcoming. There was also another gentleman with spectacles who assisted us; special mention to him as well for being very prompt and helpful.
As a small suggestion: I’d love to see more chaat options like golgappe, or classic North Indian dishes such as chole-bhature. Maybe even a vegetarian burger with an Indian twist. With flavors this good and a name like Little Delhi, this place truly has the potential to go a long way.
Overall, a comforting spot with great service, good food, and a welcoming vibe. Definitely worth stopping by.
Located not too far from Union Square(More closer to Market St)

The taste is okay 3/5, nothing to complain or nothing to feel WoW.
Ambience is average as well
Service is okay
Overall a decent place. I don’t think you would remember this for long for the taste not feel any disappointed due to the same. When in SF and want to have something quick this may be your place.
The restaurant is located in an area that may feel a bit rough around the edges with several individuals camped right outside the restaurant, something to be aware of depending on your comfort level. That said, we did walk a few blocks in the neighborhood to the restaurant and experienced nothing untoward. Overall, a flavorful experience
The service is impeccable – attentive without being intrusive, and always ready to accommodate any dietary needs or preferences. The staff’s knowledge of the menu and willingness to provide recommendations enhance the dining experience even further.
Overall, Little Delhi offers an unforgettable culinary journey that captures the essence of Indian cuisine. It’s a must-visit for anyone in San Francisco looking to enjoy a delicious, satisfying meal in a welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended!
