Review: Little Brick Coffee – Shepherd, WA

Little Brick Coffee is a cozy, welcoming spot that feels like the heart of Shepherd. The space has a warm, rustic charm that makes it easy to settle in, whether you’re meeting a friend, catching up on work, or just grabbing a quick cup.

The coffee itself is well-crafted — smooth, rich, and clearly made with care. I’d rate the drinks a 4/5. Their lattes and cold brews are standouts, and it’s nice to see a mix of classic options alongside a few creative seasonal flavors.

Service was friendly and genuine, about a 4/5. The staff takes time to make sure your order is right and offers great recommendations if you’re not sure what to try. It’s not “big city fast,” but it matches the relaxed vibe of the place.

The atmosphere is where Little Brick really shines. I’d give it a 4.5/5. Between the exposed brick, comfy seating, and local art touches, it feels like a true community hub — the kind of café where you want to linger.

Overall, Little Brick Coffee is more than just a caffeine stop — it’s a spot with character, quality, and connection. If you’re passing through Shepherd, it’s definitely worth the visit.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4.2/5 overall)

I always love stopping by when I can. Usually I get a mocha, but this time went with the Cowboy Hot Chocolate, which was so lovely and I usually get a lemon loaf which is perfect as always. The season drinks are always so creative too!

This is a great, little coffee shop that serves the Shepherdstown and Sharpsburg community. There’s tables outside where you can sit as indide only has space for ordering. It’s right in front of the brewery there.
Dog friendly.
Near the c&o canal so you can grab your drink and then enjoy a nice stroll.

Decent coffee spot, very busy on a Sunday morning. The inside is tight, but they do hand out drinks through a back window from the outside which helps with congestion. Solid cold brew and prices are fair

Though this coffee shop is little, customer service and product will not disappoint you.

Frequenting the area from time to time, a visit to get a caffeine fix from the Little Brick is always a consideration.

Support a local business, consider a visit as well!

First time visit today. The women behind the counter were super helpful and answered all of my questions. They cinnamon loaf and the French toast muffin were both genuinely amazing and I would stop back in for those items alone.

My friend and I’s coffees were okay, a little bitter for our taste but everyone roasts their beans different and likes different strength levels!

It’s a tiny little place but very cute and again the pastries were super good. I’d want to come back and try a different drink and see how that is!

Great little coffee shop with a nice selection of baked goods. Perfect stop for an iced coffee after a nice walk or run on the C&O. My husband ordered a Dirty Chai which was full of flavor…excellent! I had a Harvest Moon which is a cold brew with their homemade pumpkin cream cold foam. I thought it was really good as it didn’t have an overwhelming pumpkin flavor. This was our first visit but won’t be our last!

This spot was a longtime favorite of mine because of their quality drinks. Unfortunately today will be my last time at Little Brick due to a very rude encounter with an older lady with blonde hair and glasses. As soon as I stepped inside I was rudely shouted at by her in a very aggressive manner that she would be with me in a second. (Not to mention she wasn’t even the barista taking the order?..) It was weird to be greeted that way but it was even more off putting when she screamed it at me a 2nd time. No one wants to be served a mean face when they’re just trying to get a coffee. Very disappointed.

Cute little coffee shop in front of Potomac Ridge Brewing. First time visit. They were very busy, but coffee was served very quickly. They are very friendly and organized. Tried a hot chocolate covered orange latte,; it was very good and had a definite orange taste.
