Housed in a bright red building, Little Bit’s Grill sits a stone’s throw from the beaches of Oak Island. It’s unmissable not just because of its cheerful sign but also because of the aroma emanating from it. Inside, the red booths are usually packed with customers whose faces are hidden behind massive burgers done Bit’s Way (lettuce, tomato, mayo, onions, and pickles). Little Bit’s Grill mostly looks the part of an all-American diner, with its splashes of red on the seats and walls, but it also comes with delightful and unexpected Vietnamese touches. Artwork inlaid with mother-of-pearl hint at the story of the woman behind the grill.

This “little” place is big on their portions, taste and service. I’ve been a couple of times in the last couple of months and was pleasantly surprised. The Turkey Club was huge. Too much for me to eat. The regular hamburger is 8oz! The large is 14oz!
The service is great, servers watch out for each other so your cup is full.
They are only open until 2 so make sure to plan ahead.

Discovered this restaurant while on vacation on Oak Island. Place was packed with people waiting outside for a table. Now I know why. Burgers were great. Hand made patties were juicy and delicious. Pulled pork sandwich didn’t disappoint and french fries were good too. Wait staff was friendly and very attentive. Only complaint, there not in my hometown, lol.

We ate here while vacationing in Oak Island. It was just an impulse visit, and, man, am I happy we did!? I got the large (and when they say large, they mean it) cheeseburger, all the way. And, I swear it was one of the best burgers, if not the best, I’ve had in my life! And, these ladies were working hard and nonstop to serve customers quickly and efficiently. It’s a must try!

There’s a reason people line up out of the door for this place. It’s reasonably priced for what you get. The burgers are outstanding and the people working there are excellent as well.
The first picture is a “small” cheeseburger with chili fries. I recommend the chili fries & getting burgers “bits way”. The second picture is half of a large cheeseburger. It’s not undercooked, that’s the way I wanted it.
The first time I went here was during the less crowded, colder part of the year and I sat at the counter. The cook was nice enough to turn around and chat with me a bit which was a cool personable touch.

Great experience here! We were looking for a spot to eat on our way out of town and all the breakfast spots looked packed at 10am. After being up for hours already I wasn’t really in the mood for breakfast food anyway. We decided to stop by Little Bit’s since they were just opening and had not yet gotten customers. I walked in to make sure they were actually seating customers since it was a couple minutes before 10am. They were really kind and enthusiastically told me I could sit wherever. I asked about a high chair and when I came back inside with the baby, they had one ready for us.
As for the food, I was in the mood for a burger and boy this did not disappoint! What a phenomenal burger, it was simple and no frills, a handmade cheeseburger with mayo, lettuce, tomato, onion, ketchup, and some bacon. You can get some other varieties like chili cheese burgers and all. Nothing too out there or experimental, but it was executed perfectly and we all enjoyed our burgers immensely. We did get large burgers, I was talked into it, and they were legitimately huge! I couldn’t quite finish the whole thing but not for lack of trying. Next time I’ll definitely order the small. All in all, the burger hit the spot and then some.
As for service, we could not have asked for better! Everything was very prompt and all of the staff were helpful and attentive. We grabbed a paper menu to tuck away in our luggage for next years vacation, we will 100% be frequenting Little Bits from now on.
Now keep in mind though, this may not quite be your experience depending on how busy they are. We were basically the first people in the door due to the timing, but I’m sure they get overrun during the summertime like every other business on the Island. We always try to be understanding of that and factor that into any restaurant experience. To be honest though, if the burgers come out like that every time then it would be worth the wait. Our little guy also enjoyed himself immensely and was eyeing our burgers the whole time. I think our little bit definitely approved of Little Bits!

Definitely one of, if not the best burgers on Oak Island. No pre made patties. All fresh ground beef patties, perfectly grilled to order! The regular single is much bigger than any other ‘single’ around oak island.
If you are not “starving” don’t get the double, unless of course you want to take home enough for another meal!
Delicious fries too and plenty of them.
Get there early as there is usually a wait. Locals love Little Bit’s!!

Google, you guys gotta fix this. You’re missing two categories. Cleanliness & Pricing. Get it together guys, get it together. Anyway, I give this restaurant five stars in 5 categories for five reasons. Great food for one. Good atmosphere for two. Good customer services for three. Cleanliness for Four. And pricing for Five. So all in all, Little Bits Grill gets 25⭐️’s. Can’t go wrong here. Definitely a taste of southern. And the burgers are very healthy. Just good everything all the way around. And I’m a healthy guy(tummy wise!), and I can really put it down, but I was just barely able to finish my meal… But do you see this burger though
