Charming Italian-style steak bar! Lovely building and dining room, and was quite busy for dinner even on a Tuesday night; make sure to get a reservation. It can also get lively, so expect a higher noise level than other similar restaurants. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, though did get a little redundant a couple times during service.
Ordered the swordfish saltimbocca, 8oz wagyu filet, brussels sprouts calabrese, and carrot cake and chocolate & pistachio budino for dessert. All were excellent, with the parmesan polenta (incredibly creamy) under the swordfish and brussels sprouts (perfectly crispy, and with a good spicy kick) particular favorites. The desserts were also very reasonably priced, especially considering their portion size–not that small a plate!

We had high expectations for our restaurant visit, as the prices were quite high. The cocktails they served were delicious and well-balanced. The service was friendly, but not very fast or attentive. It also lacked a certain level of professionalism. We weren’t very impressed with the food. We opted for the Wagyu NY Strip and were disappointed. We weren’t convinced by the quality. We ordered it rare, and it came medium-well and cold. The truffle gnocchi were also disappointing, with hardly any truffle flavor. The carpaccio was good. For a restaurant with such prices, I expect perfection.

The service was top notch. We went here for a work dinner and our server was friendly and very knowledgeable and attentive to our group of 8-9 people. We ordered a variety of appetizers, but my personal favorites were the burrata and gnocchi. The bread was great too! My 8oz filet was good, though i regret ordering medium instead of medium rare. Brussel sprouts and gouda fries are sides I’d highly recommend. The espresso martini was pretty tasty, but not the best one i’ve ever had. Banana fosters cheesecake with brown butter caramel was an amazing dessert choice!

What a dining experience! Emily was exceptional — knowledgeable, attentive, and so helpful in navigating the menu. The food did not disappoint. Yes, the steak comes with a higher price tag, but the other menu items felt fairly priced and well worth it. We’ll definitely be back.

Little Betty truly delivers on food and service. The food is exceptional, and the team is first-class — attentive, warm, and polished. It’s the kind of hospitality that makes you want to come back.
However, there were two issues that took away from what could’ve been a perfect night.
1. Inconsistent Martini Glass Sizes
We ordered the same martini multiple times, and each round came in a different size glass — one noticeably smaller than the others. The volume poured was clearly not consistent, and when you’re paying premium cocktail prices, you expect a standard pour every time. The inconsistency stood out, especially in an otherwise high-caliber restaurant.
2. Cold Draft From the Front Door
Every time the door opened, a rush of cold air swept across the dining area. It breaks the atmosphere and makes parts of the dining room uncomfortable. A simple vestibule curtain or better insulation would make a big difference.
Bottom line: Little Betty has incredible food and outstanding service, and those strengths shine. If they address the drink-measure inconsistency and the draft from the entryway, this place would go from great to exceptional.

I’ve been all over the world, this is a once in a lifetime experience. If you are passing through Birmingham, this restaurant is an absolute must try!! One of the most incredible dining experiences I’ve ever had, and my waitress Olivia just made it that much more spectacular.

Definitely a one and done for me. HOWEVER I encourage everyone to try this restaurant out at least once. Everyone’s taste buds are different but I personally found some of the items to be too salty. For instance the bread service was packed with sea salt. Same for Brussels sprouts. To say the sides were shareable was a bit of a reach. Service was excellent. Braxton knew about everything on the menu including drinks. He made my partners birthday a special evening which I appreciated. Overall I just didn’t feel that the price matched the overall taste and quality of the dishes being served. Were they good absolutely. But I wasn’t blown away like I had anticipated. The cocktails, are great but again are they worth 20-24 bucks, not really in my opinion. Dessert also left a lot to be desired. The carrot cake lacked flavor and the banana foster cheesecake to me was just alright with the Carmel sauce somewhat overpowering the overall flavor. Again I still think people should give this place a try and judge for yourself. The decor alone left me speechless such a beautiful restaurant.

Mara was incredible! We ordered her recommendations, and everything was delicious! She was funny and lively. She worked hard. Definitely recommending this place!! Some of the best food I’ve had in a while. Service was quick and clean. Atmosphere was loud and dark.

We celebrated an anniversary here and received glasses of champagne to start. We ordered the crab cake, salad, filet, and wagu filet, plus the bananas foster cheesecake. The whole meal was an easy 10/10. We will definitely be back!

I attended a Broad Metro Christmas Party at this fine restaurant with my wife and friends. Ambiance is just what you would expect from a fine dinning restaurant in Mt. Brook. The decore is sophisticated, elegant and absolutely first class. I can only explain the ambiance as being a fun and cheerful atmosphere and certain not quite. Staff are extremely efficient and provide nothing but exceptional service with a friendly smile. This a well trained and managed establishment. We sat in one of the private dining areas and dined on a number of delicious servings from the mouth watering crab cakes, ribs and swordfish served on grits that absolutely melted in your mouth. The meal ended with some of the best deserts I have ever had and the tiramisu was better than my Italian grandmother’s! Outside of New York City or Vegas, this was one of the best dining experiences we have had here in Birmingham in over 65 years. We will certainly return in the very near future. If I could give more than five stars, I certainly would! Highly recommend!
