Reviews
The food is just brilliant, and the prices very reasonable!
House bread – nice and a little oily. Comes with a chicken dip, which is a little sour and very tasty.
Empenadas – both were very good. They come with a mildly hot sauce.
Catita – very good steak on butternut squash puree.
The slightly less great: service was ok. Waiters a little distracted. Otherwise they were very kind and helpful.
Atmosphere: very simple and unpretentious. I mean…. IKEA knife and fork.
But the only really important thing is the food. And it’s definitely worth it.
I will return!
Beautiful Mendoza red – well worth the money.
Just make sure you’ve a good appetite when you visit
Menu looked promising on paper (pepper sauce on an Argentinian menu was a surprise). We asked to swap one side for the potato cake listed on another dish. Denied. Only the three listed sides available, no flexibility.
Service was painfully slow. When the food finally arrived, our medium steaks came well-done. We flagged it, but were only offered a replacement if we’d wait again (we couldn’t). No compensation, no adjustment, and they still tried to charge for the sides on the returned dish.
The other cuts were oddly tough for tenderloin. I’m skeptical anything here is actually from Argentina as claimed.
The pepper sauce was inedible. Nuclear levels of heat, and I like strong pepper sauce.
Prices were shockingly high: near American steakhouse territory, comparable to Malta’s top spots like Sciacca Grill. For this money, I’d go there instead.
