We had a fantastic experience at Literary Tavern! We sat outside on the patio, which had a great ambiance. It was perfect for a relaxing evening. We started with the Alligator Lounge & Princess Anjo cocktails which were both were creative and delicious. For appetizers, we shared the fried calamari and Caprese skewers, and they were absolutely spot on. Then we split the Nashville half chicken, which was flavorful and perfectly cooked. We also tried the milk punch shots…definitely a new experience, and a fun one! Highly recommend for great food, drinks, and a cozy atmosphere.

I came here for my 21st birthday lunch and overall had a great time! We came for brunch, and the broccolini was absolutely delicious. Katie, the bartender, was amazing – super friendly and made our drinks perfectly. The atmosphere was really nice and enjoyable. The customer service overall was great -everyone was attentive, welcoming, and made sure we were taken care of. Great vibes, great food, and amazing service. Highly recommend for a fun and memorable dining experience!

Terrible food, huge disappointment, corn fritters were like frozen hockey pucks…tastless, no-corn, horrible. The tuna on fried chips was OK, just ok. Mussels had no garlic. Drinks were below average, very sweet and over priced…handcrafted they said, aren’t they all handcrafted? These were quite amature.

Absolutely amazing . I was the only one there so the service was good, got a smash burger and truffle fries, and the drink I got was amazing too (it’s called the Princesa something). Literally zero complaints! Good music/cute inside too.

The best restaurant / bar in Tremont, no contest. They switch up their food and cocktail menu regularly, and it never ceases to amaze! Such friendly staff and amazing vibes. It’s very popular so I recommend making a reservation during peak times!

The Literary Tavern is a true gem! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, perfect place for a date or to meet up with friend. Their burger was juicy and packed with flavor – one of the best I’ve had. The cocktails were expertly crafted and the perfect way to unwind. The scallops were tasty. Everything was delicious and I’ll be going back again and again. Highly recommend this spot!

My cocktail was excellent, but my food was so-so. I ordered the Nashville hot chicken, which had no heat at all. It was a large portion, which I appreciated for the price, but could have used some seasoning.

My wife and I stopped by looking for fun cocktails! It was our first time here, and we already can’t wait to go back! The beverage menu was perfect. Plenty of options, but not overwhelming. A few fun takes on some classics. They have some house made items, and wait until you see the green olives The space feels a bit upscale, but you can absolutely feel comfortable there in jeans and your Browns shirt! The service is absolutely worth mentioning. Sometimes, a place with elaborate or labor-intensive cocktails can have longer wait times, especially if it’s busy, but these guys were excellent! They were very personable and knowledgeable. We made small talk with a few folks at the bar. We didn’t eat, but the menu looked impressive. They have french fries with black garlic and truffle, and I regret not ordering them! next time for sure! Go check it out!

Been here several times. Well crafted food, unique menu where you still find incredible “standard bar food” options. And they have THE BEST SMASH BURGER this side of the Mississippi. Maybe the other side too. Solid cocktails and great service. Small place so fills up fast.

Literary Tavern is my FAVORITE restaurant in Tremont. I have been going here for years and every time the food & drinks are fantastic. The ambiance is romantic and moody. The lit burger is the best thing on the menu. I recently tried the short rib melt special and it was fantastic, possibly even better than the burger. The feta dip is delectable. They do get very busy but usually if you’re willing to wait you can get a seat within 30 minutes.
