Small restaurant with very few tables to dine in. The take out service is very well organized. We ordered online and the food was ready in 10 minutes. Everything tasted good and the portions were generous. We tried the chicken satay (juicy and tender), the Pork Spring Rolls (nice crunch and flavor), the general TSO’s chicken, the Lo Mein and the Curry rice with shrimps (the curry flavor was balanced and not too strong). Nothing was extremely spicy, only the TSO chicken had a noticeable kick. The only issue we had was too many pieces of onions in the Lo Mein but I will try to add a note next time. We will definitely go back.

if you guys check out my reviews not everyone get the emoji man. It feels good to be home and taste real Thai food. This is some of the best wings, pineapple, shrimp, rice, and wontons I ever had. Flavor on 10‼️

Cute little restaurant. Has about 4 tables inside. I would assume most is take out. That’s what I saw when I was there. I ordered pork dumplings, and they fried them. I would prefer them steemed only. They were ok. Got the vegetable fried rice very, very good, and fresh. Lastly, I got the chicken satay a little dry, I made these with dark meat, they used white, could be why it tasted a little dry. Seasoning and peanut sauce was good. Service was OK, didn’t give me napkins utensils, or even asked if I needed them. Price was good all 3 items were very sharable 2 to 3 people paid $27.00.

Some dishes are hit and miss. With noodle dishes, usually, the noodles are mashed up and broken into small pieces. Usually the spring rolls are great! The food is almost always fresh and pretty tasty. Recommend the Kung pao chicken, salads, satay, spring rolls, wings are OK too.

1. Spring roll: It was quite messy. The balance of noodles, vegetables, and protein was off, and the flavor leaned heavily towards carrots.

Vegetable Egg-roll: I was really let down. There were barely two strands of glass noodles, and the filling was mushy, resembling frozen vegetables. A deep-fried dish shouldn’t be this disappointing.

Pho Beef: The broth had a flavor that was quite different from what I expected, and it wasn’t to my liking. The bean sprouts were old, and the lime was dried out. The noodles had a good texture, and while the meat was tender, the portion was small. I wasn’t a fan of the meatball, as it had bits of cartilage or bone that surprised me when I bit into it.

Pad Kee Mao (Drunken Noodles): I was really disappointed. I had been craving drunken noodles, which is why I chose this restaurant. I didn’t want to drive 20-30 minutes to Saint Paul, so I thought I’d give this place a shot. What a mistake! Everything tasted steamed, the vegetables were overcooked, and the noodles were bland. It felt like too much water was used in cooking, which washed out the flavors.

I tried this place but will definitely take the extra 20-30 minutes to get decent Thai food. For a suburban area, it’s better than nothing.

I had a good first-time experience. The food was really well spiced with generous portions, and quickly prepared. It’s better as a take-out place than a sit down restaurant, but take out was exactly what I wanted.

Update….the food has improved a bit! Still feels like they rush a bit to put stuff together but the taste was better than the last time. Fried rice was a bit over done but the flavor was on point.

Just not great food – very soggy orange chicken, lacking orange flavor. I could use my fork to shred off the skin of the chicken. Only good part of the dish was the bell pepper chunks. We also got curry and that was OK at best. Spring rolls are OK, best thing we tried was the pot stickers.

Lisu’s Thai Taste is a fantastic restaurant with some amazingly tasty food that is quite unique compared to anything else Cottage Grove has to offer. I have had take out from here quite a few times now, and each time my friends and family have loved anything and everything I order from here. My favorite so far has been the peanut based curries they offer. The egg rolls are awesome and unique in that there are not greasy like most others I’ve had.
