My brother warned me Lisa’s had gotten too expensive but $3.89 for a picadillo taco and $4.79 for a carne guisada, really! And then $3.25 for a soda! Beware of the add’l 3.75% fee if you use a CC. The tacos were a good size but within an hour, I was sick which is my reason for the 1 star. Lillian was a great server!

First time for me. And I’ll be back. Easy parking. Very courteous staff all the way around. Great decor, prompt service. I simply ordered 3 tacos . I’ve explored the city for the past 5 years in search of the best taco; Found at Lisa’s. Thanks for a great time.

We came here for brunch as a group of 14 and they easily accommodated us. We were heading back to Dallas after our family get together Saturday and decided to get brunch before everyone separated on Sunday. The food and the servers were great! The buffet was the best part!!! I haven’t had good carne guisada is years and theirs took me back to my childhood in my grandma’s kitchen!!!! They also have enchiladas, tacos and tostadas on the buffet table. You can also order off the menu if you’d prefer that instead. We all left full and happy. I can’t wait to come back in March!!!

I have not been to this restaurant in over 10 years and I felt like eating there because I remember it was good and that I had my son‘s birthday there who I have lost last year.
So I wanted to reminisce a memory when visiting today.
Everything was good. The only thing that I thought was wrong was that the waitress told us they honor military discount, but only one per table…. I understand if it was on the same receipt, but it wasn’t. It was on two Different receipts with two different family members that had military ID .
So you mean to tell me that if a family was there for a military graduation with the party of more than 10 to 20 people and most of them were military they would only give discount to one military person?!
That is wrong & That is not honoring the military that have served!!!!!
Every Mexican restaurant that I have been to have honored each member that had an ID for the military service!
Don’t think ill be back !!!

Don’t waste your money there is way better on Bandera road for sure. I have come here many times and the food continues to go downhill. Tonight was my last visit.

Party of 10. The only meal out of 10 that wasn’t dried out and gross was my daughter’s bean and cheese tacos. Nachos had barely any meat. The chicken in the enchiladas was dried out my daughter wouldn’t even eat them it was so chewy. Even the two appetizer chips and queso’s were terrible – the cheese tasted like it was either reheated or old it wasn’t even liquidy it was pasty. Milanese wasn’t Mexican at all came with no sauce and was so dry I’ve met jerky less tough. I asked for a sauce for it because it was so dry and they had the nerve to charge me for it. I’m sorry but I can’t stand when a restaurant nickels and dimes you. I spend over two hundred bucks and you need to charge me two bucks for salsa for your dried meal? No thanks. I told the manager how disappointed I was in the Milanese and being charged for salsa he gave a discount to come back and have another bad version of Milanese with 25% off. I left the card on the table and will never be back. I hope the two dollars was worth losing the hundreds a month we use to spend here. Heck even the ‘fresh’ tortillas were hard and dry. If you can’t get tortillas right on Bandera road you’re in trouble.

First time here, based on a recommendation. We were a large party and the staff was very accommodating putting tables together so we could fit. The restaurant itself is pretty spacious and decorated nicely. We opted for the buffet, which has both breakfast and lunch options. I headed for the Pozole and Menudo first, and was not disappointed! They were both delicious!! The guisados were good, as were cheese enchiladas. The picadillo was a bit dry and Tinga a little off, but overall it was good. The pozole made up for it all! If I’m in the area again, I’d give the buffet another shot cuz of its variety. (No pics cuz we were hungry and got the buffet ‍♂️) *chips were not the best, but ask for that GREEN SALSA, it’s

Husband and I had dinner and we were disappointed in our food. We were excited to try Lisa’s, kind of wish I had dinner elsewhere. For the amount we paid and time we waited on our food we expected it to be at the least warm. Tortillas were luke cold. Enchiladas were hard and cold. The nachos had minimal food on them the chips were hard and stale. Cheese on both plates were very minimal also. Oveerall dissatisfied, our experience was a 5 out of 10!

I went with a coworker after work on a Wednesday around 545 so we were there during happy hour. We ordered margaritas and nachos which came out fast and were delicious. We were greeted by a host who was really nice. He didn’t guide us to a table since we wanted to sit in the bar area. The bar tender was the only one working the bar and bar tables so it would’ve been nice if he had some help with his area. We had to waive him down to help us order so he had to leave his bar and come over to our table to do this. That was the only downfall that night. His service was still great and the food and drinks were pretty darn good too.
