The Love Boat for two was fresh, beautifully presented, and delicious. The mahi-mahi was excellent. Our server was very friendly and attentive. Great spot for a quick Japanese meal!

Liquid Ginger is hands down my go-to spot for sushi in Gainesville. The service and atmosphere are always on point, and the food is consistently amazing. They also always decorate the plates so beautifully, which adds such a nice touch to the whole experience. You can really tell they care about presentation just as much as quality. Highly recommend!

My partner and I love this place. The bartender, Sterling, is the best! Very attentive and always suggests the best things on the menu. They have buy one get one cocktails on Thursdays and although we are usually beer drinkers, the cocktails were delicious. And the food is always amazing. They have the best pad Thai I’ve ever had, and amazing sushi rolls. This place never disappoints and we will be coming back again and again!!!

I visit here often as I work in this area. The sushi is always spot on, affordable, and delicious. I’ve tried numerous rolls, and they are all delicious. My favorite roll is the Golden Apple Roll (spicy, crunchy salmon, Fuji apple, mango w/ Mango sauce). I typically visit for lunch and order ahead, but I have been there for dinner, and the experience is the same. I’m also a big fan of the Basil Chicken & Teriyaki Chicken. Cannot brag about them enough!

Server was awful. We ordered tea with our meal. We waited over 20 minutes for dinner only to find our the server ‘forgot” the tea. It arrived as we were finishing dinner. She didn’t check on us at all except when she brought the check. The food was satisfactory although nothing great. We will not be returning.

My Sister and I went to Liquid Ginger. It was recommended to us and we are so happy we went.

We live about 2 hrs from Gainsville and love Sushi. This place has excellent sushi.

We ordered miso soup & avocado salad, from the sushi tastings: seared tuna☺️. Garlic eggplant: this is a must have at this place it has onions and red& green peppers in a garlic sauce. The saigon spring rolls WERE FANTASTIC they had some chicken in them and fried to perfection. Yes those were just the appetizers and words can not express how delicious this start off was. The sauces that smothered these items were incrdible, the garlic sauce on the eggplant and the ponzu sauce with the seared tuna, just fantastic.

The main Entree: we ordered 3 rolls total of sushi, I will list them in order by least to most favorite.

3. GATOR Roll: this roll is a signature roll and it is tempura so it is cooked, it has a lot of different meats in it. FOR more description of these items take a look at the menu pictures I posted. This is what we call a heavy roll, definitely great for dipping in a soup. On its own, with no sauce added it is tasty although you can not taste all meat inside and maybe wasnt the best choice pairing with the other items we experienced. Still a good option for people who enjoy cooked rolls.

2. The Golden Apple Roll: this roll is a signature roll and it is what we call Light weight. It has very few ingredients so when you start your course off heavy, you still have space for something sweet like this roll. Now the roll is sweet the mango sauce adds to the sweetness, to balance the flavor we chose to dip it in soy and the spicy mayo, adding a fine balance of sweet and savory.

1. DANCING SHRIMP ROLL: Our favorite roll of the night, also a signature roll. When we can eat our sushi without dipping sauce we know its going to be a flavorful event for our taste buds. So this roll has tobiko eggs which are usually lightly salted and gives any roll a creative flavor. It also had avocado in place of the cucumber, tuna, eel and shrimp. Just try it, its worth it.

This place is quietly placed in a busy part of town. Close to many other cool businesses. our waitress Lisa was amused by how happy we were to eat! We have quite the appetite. UNtil the next Eating! ENJOY the pictures!! Next time you’re in Gainsville give this place a chance.

Pretty good Asian place in a cute plaza in downtown Gainesville. I’ve also passed by liquid ginger when downtown, and it’s pretty hard to miss the creepy moon statue outside. I figured I’d finally try it and I had a pretty good experience.

The ambiance of the interior was a little gloomy, but it was still cute nonetheless. The wait staff wasn’t very quick despite not being busy, but I do not want to hold it against them. I ordered the pad thai and my girlfriend ordered what I believe were the udon noodles with steak.

The pad thai was pretty good and on par with other thai or asian places i’ve had across gainesville. I thought it could have used a little more sauce, but the chicken and the vegetables were all cooked well and still tasty.

The udon noodles with steak were decent and the steak and vegetables were cooked pretty well. The main dismay was that the dish was absurdly oily, such that there was a pool of oil on the bottom and the leftovers left a film of oil across the takeout container. The dish was still enjoyable, just a little less oil would’ve been appreciated.

Nonetheless, I’d still recommend trying it out for anything pan-asian or thai fusion as I believe they have a lot to offer. They also have an expansive sushi menu that I didn’t get to try, so i’d love to try that too!

Came here with high hopes for a tasty asian fusion option to add to my weekly rotation. The staff were friendly and welcoming, however the food was quite lackluster. I ordered the beef bulgogi and was served a plate of 90% onion 5% peppers and 5% chewy beef. After just having beque holic recently i’m insulted by the disrespect to Korean cuisine and im not even Korean! Also ordered a miso soup which was subpar and oddly lukewarm. Other than that the place was good just please don’t order the $20 onion plate.
