Has that small country town kind of feel, but then again I’ve been going here my whole life. You can count on the menu and food to stay relatively the same and not change much, which is a thing here. Great place for breakfast. Excellent prices(for breakfast).

This was a nice family place, and I enjoyed the food. On the menu they listed Liver & Onions, but then state not available til after 4pm, so I settled for the cheesesteak sub. The sub was done nicely, with a good portion. I also got their chili which was also good and had a little spice to it, but nothing to extreme.
They also had a nice outdoor seating area, but apparently this time of year the bees have gone wild, so we stayed inside.
I enjoyed my visit and would return again. So if you are in the Red Lion area, looking for a bite to eat, it’s well worth the try..

I have lived in Red Lion for 25 years and have often frequented Lions Pride. It was one of my go places when asked where we should go to eat. The last few times I have had to wait to be seated and had a longer than usual wait. The host and servers were not as friendly as I remember. It feels like something changed, I am guessing a change in management. The food has also been sub par. Today my wife and I ordered cheese steaks with mayo and got steak subs, no cheese, no mayo. When I brought it to my server’s attention she took the sub I had gotten had them “throw it back on”, added some cheese and gave me a side of mayo. My wife was so hungry she didn’t bother and ate the sub as was. She got chips with hers and the chips looked like the crushed residue at the bottom of the chip bag. The subs were not good, even though they had thrown some cheese on mine and gave me the mayo I had originally requested and even though my wife was hungry. When the cashier asked if everything was great we told her about our experience. She simply said she was really sorry and “hoped we would have a “better day””. Our day was fine. Our food and service, not so much. No offer to make good on the bad experience. No offer to talk with a manager. Just a hope that we would have a better day. Pretty sad. I thought you might like to know how the service and food has declined. Admittedly, the restaurant is still pretty crowded, perhaps out of convenience or on the virtue of past experience and reputation. If this would have been my first experience, it would have also been my last. Not sure I would ever feel compelled to return.

The food was better than I can remember. We have not been to Lion’s Pride in a few years. The service took longer due to the Fried chicken. The Fried chicken was great; the Cole slaw was creamy and the mac and cheese-tasty! The fresh rolls were yummy too! I will be back….

This place is a hidden gem! The food, staff, service, and price – you cannot beat it! Moved here a year ago and this is a great place to go for any meal on a budget but the food will taste like a fancy restaurant. Best French onion soup! Their spaghetti is also really good! Chicken parm sub is amazing as well.

Food: 5 out of 5
Atmosphere/Cleanliness: 3 out of 5
Service: 5 out of 5
The food was very good. I had the cream chipped beef over toast, my wife had the eggs benedict, and my son had a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich. The portion size in my opinion is a little small. I felt there could have been more cream chipped beef on my plate and my sons sandwich seemed a bit small. I don’t know, you be the judge. Check out the attach pics.
It was very crowded when we went, so you can tell its a great place. While I feel like the portion size was on the small side, the price was comparable to the size. It is a very affordable restaurant and the staff is friendly and attentive.
The only complaint I have is the coffee mugs looked dirty or heavily stained, so we switched to drinking soda and the silverware didn’t feel clean.
Overall, we were happy with the food and service, so we will definitely give it another try.

I just wanted to show extra love to their employee Emily. What a wonderful lady with the most amazing soul. The food is great and everyone else is too but Emily really just made our day

The food was amazing, I had the cream of crab soup, rolls, and shrimp Fettuccine Alfredo and a soda. I was very impressed with the shrimp they were cooked well and very thick in size and tasted very flavorful. The service was excellent I was greeted at the door and seated right away. The waitress was very kind and very attentive to me the entire time I was there. The cost was very reasonable. I will definitely be returning very soon!

Disappointed….I ordered the fried fish with Mac and cheese and stewed tomatoes for $15.00. It wasn’t fresh fish filets that they breaded and fried, it was 2 small pieces of Mrs. Paul’s battered minced fish baked right out of a box and about a cup of mac n cheese with a small amount of srewed tomatoes…..not acceptable for a restaurant!! That’s a first for me, usually at a restaurant I get 2 nice big fried fresh filets and half a plate of Mac n cheese and stewed tomatoes!! That meal was definitely worth $15.00. This meal at Lion’s Pride definitely was not!!!

This is our go to place for over 20 yrs but today was not the day for us we where seated right away and the wait for our food was over 45 min a gentleman came in after us and got his food before us we ordered a hot turkey sandwich and got roast beef in stead because my husband is color blind he started eating the mashed potatoes and then he tasted the beef. he than asked me if it was beef or turkey cause I was already nose deep in my dish because we where starving..and I confirmed that it was and got the host because the server was busy she got it fixed for us but than the server had the audacity to come over and say I see you dug into it and there’s a big difference between turkey and beef and acted like it was his fault… he didn’t ring the order in wrong…. and we where like yea hes color blind for your information…there was no need for the rudeness and you don’t know everybody situation
