Lunch specials are great for taste & value. One plate lasts me two meals and I am 200 lb man that loves good food!

I was in Alvarado for a couple of weeks and ate here several times. I found their entrees to be pretty good but didn’t like their lo mein. The only appetizer I had was egg rolls and they were okay. Food was prepared quickly and was reasonably priced. The young lady at the counter was very friendly, the guys, not so much. Will go back a few more times before I leave. Thank you.

I’ve eaten Chinese food all over the United States and by far some of the best Lomein I’ve ever eaten. Triple delight is my go-to. These folks know how to cook with Texas sized portions. Super consistent and they never fail to impress. Highly highly recommended.

Excellent!! Stopped for a rest break at the truck stop. Glad I did! Some really good Chinese food!! Hot and fresh! Definitely will plan accordingly to stop if I’m in the area on future trips!! Sweet n sour chicken, hot pepper chicken, fried rice, egg roll. All good!

I do eat here fairly regularly, but only because it’s more edible than Texas Teriyaki and they give you enough food to be worth the price.
That’s all there is to say about this place, though. My biggest gripe is that they use the same sauce for all the sweet chicken. The difference? For example, sesame chicken will have sesame seeds and general tso’s is kinda spicy.
If you can get around the fact that you won’t be getting good Asian food here (or anywhere else nearby), and just treat it like cheap and decently tasty “fuel”, then you’ll do just fine here. But don’t come here expecting better than the leftovers you have in the fridge. I just come here when there are no leftovers and am too hangry to cook something.

My boyfriend and i were traveling and we found this place right off the highway, it was super cheap and it satisfied my craving for Chinese. It wasn’t bad.. but I have had better. The general taos chicken was a bit dry and hard but the rice and lo mein were real good.
