My first trip here was just a few weeks ago and I’ve thought about my meal for all that time. I live 50ish miles away, one way, and I’m happily back again, today.
Sorry, but there is no “before” shot. I was so eagerly anticipating the arrival of my dream dish, that I was half way through before I even remembered to document my delightful meal.
The “after” shot best illustrates my overall opinion of the food! Family recipes are definitely delicious!
All the staff are friendly and attentive. The family are on the premises and work so hard for you to have a great experience. Probably, that is what makes the difference. Great job to Lino’s, again!
Food: I ordered the tamales with rice and beans and a shredded beef taco a la carte. Thoroughly enjoyed the tamales and sides. The tamales come covered in chili verde which isn’t spicy. Very similar taste to those of Hacienda Grill on Buck Owens. Beans and rice were yummy as well. The taco I did not even eat after the first bite. It had a fishy taste to it.
Drink: I originally ordered a Diet Pepsi, but they didn’t have fountain drinks and wanted to bring me a can. I absolutely hate getting a canned beverage in a restaurant, so I opted for the iced tea which was good.
Service: the waitress we had was very nice, but didn’t refill my tea once and forgot my straw after asking for one twice.
Location: it was a bit of a drive to get here and it is located right off the main road, so it was hard to get out of the parking lot as I had to reverse to get back on the road while watching for oncoming traffic. Also the parking spaces were so dirty with a literal accumulation of dirt. If you are wearing sandals and hate getting dirt in your shoes watch where you step.
Also the inside does not have any booths. So if you prefer booths, as I do, you’re out of luck here.
