The three-meals-a-day dining room at The Dunlin, a luxury resort on Johns Island, exudes beach-house cool, and establishes its Lowcountry credentials with views of the Kiawah River, sea-fresh fish and shellfish (much of it local), seasonal produce, and the mix of culinary informality and sophistication that characterizes Southern cooking at its best.

We ate breakfast, lunch, and dinner at Linnette’s during our stay and every meal was a standout. Dishes were consistently fresh, plated beautifully, and (almost always) locally sourced, which you can taste in the quality.
Lunch might have been my favorite: the shrimp po’boy was spot-on and the fries cooked in tallow were something special being crispy, savory, and addictive. Mornings were a joy too, the coffee is phenomenal.
Service was attentive and fast without ever feeling rushed; food came out promptly and the staff checked in at the right moments. The whole experience felt relaxed, polished, and very well run.
No complaints, just a genuinely excellent restaurant. Highly recommend.

My wife and I had a wonderful brunch experience at Linnette’s. I ordered the shrimp and grits, which were fantastic, perfectly cooked, large shrimp paired with creamy stone-ground grits. I added two eggs over easy on top, and it was the perfect complement, adding richness to every bite. My wife went with the chocolate flapjacks, and they were fluffy, decadent, and delicious with the syrup.
The atmosphere was equally impressive. The bar is beautifully designed with warm wicker accents and soft lighting, and the outdoor seating area offers serene marsh views that make for a relaxing meal. It’s the kind of place that feels both elegant and comfortable.
Overall, great food, beautiful setting, and attentive service, we’ll definitely be back. Highly recommended for brunch on Kiawah!

We were so excited to attend the special tea service. My mother, young daughter, and I were blown away by the beauty of the place. Every detail was beyond lovely – from the pastries to the table linens. The tea was possibly the best I have ever had – especially the scones! The view was delightful, too. Our waitress was charming and very attentive.
My only issue was with a gentleman who came over as our waitress went over the tea menu at the start. He looked very frustrated, interrupted the waitress, and told me that, since I had not informed them that a member of our party was a child, that we would have to order the adult tea for her. Then, he turned around and left. It was very strange and I have to admit I was embarrassed by his tone. The restaurant did call before hand to make sure there were no dietary restrictions (very impressive), but they did not ask about the ages of our party members. I do hate that I had to pay $100 for my child to eat a couple of pastries and have 2 cups of tea (she would have eaten everything from the child’s tea). However, our waitress did her best and saved the experience.

Amazing place. Not only I was attracted to it because of the name but now I’m obsessed. Whenever we visit Charleston again, we’ll be there. Great location. Beautiful ambiance and a very high end feeling. From the outside to the inside. The scent of the hotel/restaurant. The bathrooms. And the outside sitting. All perfect. The food was great. Taste, portions, aesthetic. You can’t go wrong. 100% recommend.

Linnette’s is its own getaway vibe! Great spot at the Dunlin, a fairly high end and exclusive spot on Kiawah. Brand new and high fashion, Linnette’s does not disappoint with ambiance. The food matches with rich taste. Starters were Fois Gras and a Mushroom Toast which was to die for! This was 4 high end mushrooms on a bread slathered in what seemed like whipped butter and ricotta- pure Umami indulgence! The main of gnocci was quite good. Apple panna cotta ate like a “deconstructed apple pie”. Bonus points for having non alc wine on the menu for the wife.
Linnette’s is not cheap being part of the Dunlin on Kiawah, but offers a unique experience in dining compared to eating downtown and fighting the street parking and hustle/bustle.

Linnette’s is a gorgeous place to meet up with friends for drinks and a meal. Located on a resort, there isn’t much to do after or before visiting the restaurant. They had complimentary valet parking. The service was wonderful and the drinks were powerful. The tricky part for me was that since we went during restaurant week, we got a great value for our meal but while good there just wasn’t anything I would say someone had to get. Definitely a cute spot though.

Went for dinner and the atmosphere is one of my favorites in the CHS area. Decor and aesthetic are worth the visit alone but the food was very good too. I had the duck which was delicious and my wife had the sweet potatoe gnocchi. Everything was very good and we will be back. The general manager was also checking in on tables which says a lot about the focus on hospitality.

Amazing southern food and hospitality. We live in the neighborhood and have dined and gotten takeout from Linnette’s 10-15 times and the food is always excellent. Those complaining about the flavoring/quality of the food are, IMO, people that are rarely satisfied with anything. We’ve had almost every dish and they are all bangers. Their bacon egg and cheese is one of the best Ive ever had, and they have phenomenal fried chicken. Enjoy with confidence!

The environment is lovely. It feels authentic and perfect for the South Carolina coastal area. Jessica was an amazing server and made us feel welcome. The food was all amazing. The pickled shrimp was really delicious. The valet recommended the Duck and Dumplings, and he was spot on! The cobbler was delicious, too!
