Decent Chinese restaurant. Lights were dim, needed a torch to read the menu. We didn’t have to wait long for our starters, they were the most delicious part of the meal. The chicken chow mein was said to be served with vegetables, but they were very few. The chicken was very tender and there was plenty. It wasn’t overly flavoured. The dessert was not worth the price. It was small and the flavour of the ice cream was disappointing. There was a bit of salt on top of some chocolate, and I could not find any caramel.
The atmosphere was nice, they had a bubbly fake aquarium. The noise echoed quite a bit, though, making conversations hard to follow at times.
Over all, Ling’s is a decent restaurant, but I would not count it among the best Chinese restaurants.

Update June 28, 2025 – my daughter just got chicken balls and they were raw – see photos – and they challenged her on the phone and said they were too busy and hung up on her
Horrific – apart from the fact that my food wasn’t ready after 30 mins when I went to collect it, the food itself was horrific, I got a chicken curry, I’ve never seen a curry to have such an off putting colour before but this was a first. But the worst was yet to come, the overall texture of the chicken was really odd, it was very tough, but the real problem was when I was half way through and I chomped down on a completely RAW portion of chicken!!!! Never again, avoid at all costs!

I ordered spider roll. delivery was pretty quick, but the food was not good at all. it consisted of mostly rice with something dry and deepfried in the middle. nothing else and for €19.50?! Nothing like ive ever had before. very dissapointed. was my first time ordering from here and I will not do it again.

Currently it is called Koi but the staff is Chinese. It is a nice restaurant with very polite staff and excellent food. We had Japanese meals and were amazed by the service. The price was also absolutely acceptable. I highly recommend to visit the place instead of ordering take away.

Visited this restaurant for dinner recently and while the food we ate was fine, we found the portions a bit on the small side!! Both plates were cleared and still a little hungry.. at 18 Euro a plate, you expect to feel full hence dropped a star!
Whatever about the meat dishes being portion controlled, the rice came in a tiny bowl and the portion of chips was also small, could offer a bigger portion of both of these basics for sure.

Ordered meal deal E, I would’ve assumed that you’d get rice with a chicken curry, to my surprise you get curry sauce with chicken, no veg/onions, and apparently you’ve to pour that over your spice bag, and that’s your chicken curry, restaurant should be specific about this, food isn’t great but it’s not the worst I’ve had unfortunately, I rated a one due to the attitude I got when ringing about a missing rice. Customer services not great, the meal combo is disappointing, charge an extra 2 euro and include rice, other wise you’d be best off avoiding this “deal” and ordering a 4in1. Or a 3in1. Don’t expect customer’s to guess what you deem as a chicken curry, as to me a chicken curry is always accompanied with rice.

Food was cold when I collected it. I waited 30 minutes for my collection too. There is a young man running the restaurant by himself and he’s trying to do everything, (serve customers eating in and answering phones) doesn’t seem like he gets much help. Would rate it 1 star only for that very polite young man who was doing his best to try and get my food out while running the restaurant

Ordered for delivery after 1hr called them up as there was no delivery. Called them up there excuse was the weather was bad which was a pony excuse as I live 10 mins away and was slightly raining. They just tried to fob me off. After a total of 1hr 40mins. Fella called with the food no sorry or acknowledgement he was 12 days late with the food. And of course food was cold when it got to the door. Plenty of other Chinese places in bray. This one is off the list with there cold food.
