The Linger Longer Tavern has been operating continuously since prohibition ended in December of 1933. Our establishment has prospered under the same family ownership for over 43 years and is known for its friendly neighborhood tavern style atmosphere. We sell a variety of beer, wine, ciders, and seltzers. Our food menu consists of your typical tavern food. The Linger Longer Tavern is arguably famous for serving the best Kirkland Dawg west of Costco (They’re located1.3 mile to the east.) Cash only, always has been. Had a couple beers and was on my way. This is a classic spot to stop in Albany. Within walking distance to a brewery also. They didn’t serve hrd alcohol for a long time and it appears to still be that way so call ahead to verify. Poker machines are surrounded by a bunch of books.

It’s a tavern, cash only, beer and wine only. They have lotto and pool. Food is really simple reheated frozen stuff like corn dogs and lil Smokies. Been there forever, an Albany institution and a great place for a cold beer!

Nice local hangout. My girlfriend and I were there early so it had a mellow atmosphere good for a drink and conversation. We had a Great bartender. There is a Lot of cool antique and vintage stuff placed all over to look at.

What a great little neighborhood tavern! I had passed it many times over the years, but had never had the opportunity to stop… Finally I did, with a friend, and had a really good time. Beer, snacks, pool, video lottery, and a pretty good jukebox, too. My friend Bekah liked the place a lot, too, and mentioned that it was the sort of place she would like to work at. High praise, indeed. We have both decided that we need to return and get “Linger Longer” t-shirts.
