Absolutely fantastic experience at Ling & Louie’s!
We came in for dinner and were blown away by both the food and the service. The honey walnut shrimp was perfectly crispy and flavorful, and the hot pot was rich, comforting, and absolutely delicious.
Huge shoutout to Ayanna — she made our night! Friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Her recommendations were spot-on and she checked in just the right amount.

Went to Ling & Louie’s on the Greenbelt for a girls’ holiday lunch and had such a great experience. The restaurant is located in the old Joe’s Crab Shack building, and the dining room has tons of windows with beautiful views of the Greenbelt. You can see the Boise River and watch people, dogs, and nature go by, which makes it a really relaxing place to eat.
The vibe is cool and laid back, the service was very friendly, and the prices are great. One fun touch was the dessert menu, which is displayed in one of those old school viewfinders from the 80s. Such a nostalgic and creative idea.

Ling and Louie’s was next door to our hotel, the Riverside, so we tried it the night we got into Boise just for the proximity. We went back again before we went home because it was delicious! We had the best server, John, who was so helpful and informative about Boise.
The glazed salmon was incredible – we ordered it without rice so they put in extra veg. The lucky noodles were loaded with veg and were also delicious. Just a note -the corn is spicy, and the popcorn topping it even spicier! I wasn’t expecting it but after that first surprising bite we loved it.
If you can, eat on the patio with the view of the river. It was so calming and beautiful.

One of the best river locations in the valley. The happy hour is generous and they have most NFL games, the staff are on point. And we met the guy who drew Rafiki!! Marshall L. Toomey. Here on a special assignment to paint the first black woman to walk (she walked the Oregon Trail)

Terrific gluten free food, with wide variety. Gluten free soy sauce was default. Lots of good veggie options. Fun view of river, with both inside and outside seating. Roll and bowl menu option let me choose both a sushi roll and soup, both yummy.

Beautiful place on the green belt. I sat outdoors and it was lovely. My server Kriss was wonderful. Service was professional, friendly and fast. Seaweed salad, Mongolian beef with a side of jasmine rice were delicious. I highly recommend this place.

This is an awesome restaurant the provides old style professional dinner house service with excellent food. The patio is one of the best in Boise. The atmosphere is fantastic like the Chart House meets asian and the music is fun. Great place to watch the world go by on the green belt.

We brought my mom here for her birthday, and Ling & Louie’s absolutely delivered. The food was fantastic, but what really made the night special was our server, Kriss. He was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and genuinely helpful the entire evening. You could tell he cared about creating a great experience — and he succeeded.
Kriss set the tone for an amazing atmosphere, and his energy made our celebration feel even more special. It’s rare to come across service this good, and it turned a good dinner into a truly memorable night for our family.
