The vibe is cozy and modern, and the coffee is top-notch, smooth, rich, and expertly crafted.
I loved their Modern American espresso! The staff in-person is friendly and knowledgeable.
However, their social media colleague was surprisingly curt, don’t disturb the artist while working.
Still, the barista team makes it worth a visit!
The matcha is unsweetened by itself. They have very limited syrup options (only around 5 I think?) and they have no sugar-free syrup options at all. This was a bit disappointing considering that many local cafes (non-chain/corporate) I’ve been to have at least 2 or 3 sugar-free syrups and 8+ regular syrup options.
They have a seasonal menu that consists of 3 drink options that honestly aren’t very good most of the time and feel more like experimental drinks that turned out to be a little too niche for the general palate. Usually the seasonal drinks taste somewhat muddy with the flavor profiles just competing with each other instead of being balanced, but maybe it really is just for the niche palate & what do I know??
Gluten free? Do not go here!!! They literally have only 1 option (the raspberry lemon cake) and it’s practically a dry brick with raspberry-flavored paste (supposed to be a glaze i guess?) and a singular dried lemon slice embedded on top. Even warmed, it is a very dense, dry pastry that leaves a weird aftertaste/mouthfeel.
The one thing I like about this branch is that it has a drive-through and their service is fast. The baristas are very sweet and help you with recommendations if you aren’t sure what to order.
Atmosphere is what you’d expect of a cafe that’s frequented by college students. It’s a lot of people coming to study there for hours, which is fine, but good luck finding an open seat! They have outdoor seating which is nice but not the most comfy.
TLDR: this cafe is good if you want a quick caffeinated drink (they have a drive-through) and if you don’t have any dietary restrictions. Not a good spot for diabetics, anyone watching their sugar intake, and gluten-free people. Good luck finding parking or an open seat, since it’s often very busy with college students.
She kindly let the worker know of the mix up but she was given a cold shoulder and didn’t even look up to acknowledge her. It felt weird because they weren’t busy and the baristas were just leaning at the bar chatting and not looking busy at all.
Usually people here are friendly but this was a different vibe and after we got our drinks they tasted awful and with my bill being $30 for two drinks I won’t be coming back and I expected better from Lineage Coffee Roasting.
I left an image of my chai latte to show it tastes more like milk than chai.
The coffee was a bit acidic and did not taste as smooth as the one I had at their other location. I had a latte with oatmilk but was a but disappointed.
The baked goods are a hit and this location has plenty of space inside and outside to work or just enjoy some coffee.
