Stopped in after antique shopping, and so glad we did.
Had the Barbecoa Bowl and Bourbon Burger, with Piggy Tots as an appetizer.
Every bite was perfection.
Appetizer and food was out really fast.
Will return many times!
I decided to sit at the bar and staff was attentive and friendly.
Best patio around to relax and enjoy friends , play outdoor billiards and even watch live music! Highly recommend
For the food I had-
I had the Buffalo deviled egg appetizer. The cream inside the egg was subtle in flavor which is nice since it came with buffalo sauce and a piece of chicken on top so it didn’t overpower the rest of the appetizer. The chicken was nice and crispy and the Buffalo sauce wasn’t overpowering. That means that you could taste everything and I enjoyed that.
I had a cup of chili and that was very good. It wasn’t super peppery so you could taste all the ingredients without being overwhelmed by a paprika. I really appreciate that it wasn’t soupy. It was a thicker chili and I really enjoyed that. It came with cheese melted in it and the combination of the cheese, sour cream and onions (I asked for onions and sour cream not knowing if it came with it or not) made the chili a very pleasant thing to eat on a chilly day like today, pun intended.
The final thing I had was the chicken and pimento sandwich. There was a lot of pimento and it was very good. I wish it had a little bit more flavor profile in the pimento but the chicken had hot honey on it so the combination of hot honey, chicken and pimento was a very nice combination of flavors and I believe that makes up for the more subtle flavors of the pimento.
On the side of the pimento I went with the brussel sprouts. The brussel sprouts were phenomenal. They had a wonderful texture because they were shredded and they had a sweet sauce with it. The texture of the brussel sprouts were my favorite cuz they were crispy without losing the flavor from it being crispy if that makes sense. This side I heavily recommend if you enjoy brussel sprouts.
The only thing I did not enjoy was the mojito. It didn’t taste like it had the sweetness that a mojito should have. The main determining factor for me coming to Lincoln was the fact that they served mojitos, I even called ahead to make sure that they served mojitos. That is the only reason that it is a four star out of five. However please do not hold that against them because mint is hard to get this time of year which is not something I considered before ordering the mojito or was told on the phone before coming in.Their solution is a mint simple syrup. The solution is a good solution but the execution left the mojito shy of the sweet and mintyness that you get from a mojito. I would describe it as the alcohol flavor from the rum and water. For this I give them 4/5 in the food category. I’ll have to come back in the summertime when mint is available and give it a try again. I believe they can make a banger mojito and there is only one way to find out.
Overall the food was subtle but very good, served very quickly in a place that was very relaxed by a server who was very pleasant and I would recommend swinging in if you want a little variety in your day seeing their menu is very diverse. I would add photos to this review but I ate the food before I could get a photo.
Malcolm was our server & he made it 10 times better when it was already going phenomenal. There was a guy being stingy with cherries but he made a kick ass Old Fashion & was also a total vibe! 11/10 would recommend & will absolutely be back when we are in the region again!!!
