I had the chicken plate with a strawberry tea, the tea was really good and fresh.
Small portions
The portions, as mentioned, are very large and filling. There is a decent wait time on the food, which I guess is nice since it’s prepared fresh when you order.
Overall, if you’re in the Enclave and craving Mediterranean food, this place will offer a good fix.
The most significant issue was with my order. I opted to dine in and received a buzzer but it never beeped and/or vibrated. My food ended up sitting at the counter for a good 10 minutes while I waited in the seating area, completely unaware. I only realized something was wrong when I went to check on it myself. I was just a couple of feet away from the cashier, but he didn’t bother to notify me or bring it to me.
When I brought this to the cashier’s attention, he basically brushed it off. The dismissive attitude just added to the frustration.
As for the food itself, once I finally got to eat it, it was disappointing. There was one spice that completely overpowered the entire plate—it was all I could taste. The fries tasted like they were frozen, and I couldn’t taste any dressing on the salad at all, making it very bland. The only saving grace of this entire visit was that the portion sizes were generous.
Overall, the combination of poor service and the resulting lackluster food quality makes it impossible to recommend this establishment. I won’t be returning.
Ani, the owner is very welcoming and friendly.
The food was amazing.
Very generous portions.
Ordered the chicken shawarma wrap which came with zaatar fries. OMG! So yummy and full of flavor. The fries are so fresh and crispy and very well seasoned. Although, next time I’ll ask for less salt (just my preference).
Also ordered the tuna plate. Came with avocado salad, rice, bread, and sauce.
There was also a very spicy yummy sauce that came with the meal.
Will be returning to try other items on their menu.
Reminder that small details can make a big difference, especially when it comes to Mediterranean food.
As a Mediterranean restaurant, one of your most important dishes is the shawarma. And when you serve shawarma, it must come with Toum (garlic sauce), just like fries come with ketchup. They go together, always. Every shawarma lover knows that Toum is not optional, it’s essential!.
Charging extra for toum feels cheap, and it makes the experience feel incomplete. If you need to cover costs, just include it in the shawarma price ,but don’t make it a separate item. Shawarma without Toum is just chicken and veggies, it’s missing its soul.
And especially if you’re serving a Middle Eastern community, whether the owner or the customers ,we are not cheap people. Give the customer what they want, and they’ll give you what you want.
You have good food, no doubt. Don’t let small details like this bring it down. A small fix can make a big difference in how customers feel about your place.
Thank you
