Absolutely spectacular!!! I don’t often write reviews but this restaurant is so special and I can’t wait to come back again. My family and I had such a fun and memorable experience. The inside was incredibly warm and inviting, especially by the fireplace. Plus the owners and chef are such happy and fun people, they really made my family feel welcome and we shared in so many laughs together. But best of all was how incredibly DELICIOUS the food was – I highly recommend the grilled shrimp/calamari/octopus along with the cheese wheel pasta with truffle and honey. Words can’t describe how that pasta made me feel. Multiple chef kisses… just beyond delicious.

We can’t wait to go back – a must visit!! Bring your appetite!

The food was excellent in nice country style restaurants with excellent service. I had very warm and welcome feelings with good energy. I enjoyed the service and friendly conversation with Andrea the owner son.

Where do I start? This place has always been one of my wife and I’s “we have to go there sometime” restaurants passing it frequently. We decided to do a nice Valentine’s date night there and it blew us away. The cozy atmosphere, the friendly welcoming staff and the incredible food make this place no brainer for anyone looking to have a delicious Italian meal. Never in my life have I tasted food so good that I wanted to eat slower to enjoy it longer. Definitely recommended. We will be back!

From the moment I walked in, I could feel the warm, inviting energy of this place. The atmosphere is lively yet comfortable, making it perfect for both a casual night out or a special dinner. The food was absolutely outstanding—every dish was full of rich, authentic flavor and clearly made with fresh ingredients. You can really taste the care that goes into each bite.
The service was impeccable as well—attentive without being intrusive, and every staff member made me feel genuinely welcomed. It’s rare to find a spot that nails great food, excellent service, and such a wonderful vibe all at once, but this restaurant delivers on every front.
Highly recommend—you’ll leave happy, full, and already planning your next visit!

If you’re considering a visit to this restaurant, know that anything less than a 5-star review does not do it justice! This restaurant truly represents the pinnacle of hospitality. From the very beginning, you are treated as family! The staff embraces you with open arms plus an occasional warm hug from their world-renowned Chef Giovanni!! Wow, can this guy cook, Mamma Mia!!!
Now, let’s talk about the food. Every dish recommended was an absolute triumph. The flavors were so extraordinary and enduring that, while you feel completely satisfied, you find yourself eagerly anticipating the next bite almost as soon as each plate is cleared. Every plate that passed close to us looked insanely delicious. It was such a memorable night of outstanding dishes! This place is a masterclass in originality and hospitality, seamlessly blending both into an unforgettable dining experience and a warm feeling of home. Truly amazing!!! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ Buon appetito!

Absolute favorite!
We can’t say enough great things about this Italian restaurant — everything is phenomenal! The food is always fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. Every dish tastes like it was made with love and true Italian passion.

The service is just as wonderful — warm, attentive, and always genuine. From the moment you walk in, you feel welcomed and cared for. The atmosphere is so warm and cozy — it’s the kind of place that instantly makes you relax and feel at home.

We love it so much that we go back all the time! Each visit is just as amazing as the last. If you’re looking for incredible Italian food, friendly service, and a cozy, inviting setting, this is the place to go.

Pretty disappointing experience this Saturday evening. Wife and I made reservations, we came in and the place was empty with pretty much all tables open. It looked like live music was setting up in the main room. The hostess decides to sit us in the side room right next to the front door on a very cold night.

Then throughout the night, several times people just left the door open completely so we had to put our coats on to stay warm. I can see if the place was packed, but it wasn’t.

Sad because it looked like the other people who ended up in the main room had a nice time. We had cold toes.

We live less than 10 minutes from Sherman, CT and we have seen this restaurant location go through multiple name and owner changes over the past 5 years. This one is easily the most disappointing. As previous reviewers have indicated, the atmosphere is cozy, warm, and welcoming, but that is more a function of the structure (an old house), the fireplace, and the close confines of the individual rooms. Once it comes to the service and food, we had a bad experience.

Service: It was Saturday night and busy, and our server seemed overwhelmed. Understandable. We waited a solid 10 minutes for him to come to our table, during which he delivered the wrong food to the table next to us. When he finally came he stood at our table flipping through his order book and said nothing. Literally not a word. We gave him our orders (one appetizer and four entrees) but asked him to put it all in at once because we were with kids and didn’t want them to wait for their meals while we ate our mussels. That didn’t happen. During the meal the server did not return to our table to ask how we were doing a single time – not once, despite passing by our table a dozen times – that’s just bad service.

Food: Our mussels fra diavolo came and they were good, but it was downhill from there. My rigatoni siciliana was served cold – the cheese on top which had melted when the dish was hot was solid. My daughter’s penne vodka tasted like penne bacon. The pasta and meatballs off the kids menu seemed to have the same sauce as the chicken parm my wife had, and the meatballs had too much filler and were tasteless and mushy. Overall the best word to describe the entire set of entrees is indifferent, as if the chef really didn’t care about the food they were serving. Given what they charge for pasta dishes, they really should care. We will be back, but only after site changes names again. With food like this, it shouldn’t be long.

Fantastic spot. Atmosphere was great. Small, intimate not to loud. Food was great, appetizers and main impressive. Will for sure make this a regular dinner spot.

Walking in felt like I was coming to see family during the holiday. Everything had the elegance you expect for high end restaurants you see in the city yet still has that welcoming feel of home. I recommend the pulpo.
